You will be desperately hungry for a steamy hot bowl of rice or ramen noodles cooked in a nickel-silver pot after watching this film. From what has been revealed at the film's press conference, held at Myung-dong Lotte Cinema on Thursday, "Le Grand Chef - Kimchi War" has succeeded in living up to its title by deliciously showing various kinds of kimchi. At a kimchi competition which aims to globalize the Korean dish called kimchi, main character Sung-chan (played by Jin Goo) and his archrival Jang-eun (played by Kim Jeong-eun) present various types of kimchi. The sight of these dishes so strongly stimulates the viewers' sense of taste that they are likely to cringe when, in the film, the judges say, "What a profound, mysterious taste"....More

A Korean meal is never complete without kimchi, and the spicy fermented vegetable dish continues to be prepared during the wintertime, when the cold weather provides natural refrigeration.

Despite snowy road conditions, reporters flocked to a movie theater in downtown Seoul, Wednesday, for a taste of the most anticipated kimchi product in the making for 2010 ― "Le Grand Chef - Kimchi War", the sequel to the 2007 hit culinary comic-book-turned-film "Le Grand Chef".

Hello there! I love all of Kim Rae-Won's movies. I just finished watching his 2001 drama "Life Is Beautiful". Kim Rae-Won played a guy who just released from jail and tried to stop a tycoon to build a casino in his hometown. He later fell in love with the tycoon's daughter who loaned him money to buy a fish farm. It was a good movie with 28 episodes, but there was no ending or did I miss anything?
