Lee Min-ho to Meet Japanese Fans

Lee Min-ho, the star of the hit drama "Boys Over Flowers", is holding his first fan meeting in Japan.

The 22-year-old actor has visited other Asian countries, including Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia, for promotional events before, and this time he will meet his Japanese fans at "Minoz JAPAN First Event" in Tokyo on Nov. 26.

The event was to be held only once, but with tickets selling out quickly, organizers decided to hold a couple more. Specific dates and venues of the additional events were not confirmed.

Before the actual fan meeting, Lee will also appear on talk shows and mini-concerts during the Korea Entertainment Festival, which will be held at Universal Studios Japan, Nov. 22. On Nov. 25, Lee will attend an autograph event for his first photo essay "Yeo, Travel with MINHO".

Following declaration ceremony of 'Good Downloader Campaign' held during Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF), an event titled, 'Good Downloader Supporters Day', takes place with10 stars in support of the initiative proposed by the campaign at Myung-dong Avenuel, Lotte Cinema on Nov. 10.

Actress Ryoo Hyeon-kyeong, who has been recently on the spotlight by expanding her career into film directing, gets into the 'Asiana International Short Film Festival'.

Ryoo made a great achievement in 'CINE Student' section of the 13th Chungmuro International Film Festival in Seoul where her short piece, 'Kwang Tae's Basic Story', was among the final 30 short films out of the total 120 entries. Her work fell short of receiving awards but she made progress with her talent as a director as well as an actress recognized.
As a director, she attends the 7th Asiana International Short Film Festival which raises its curtain on Nov. 5. She studies film making at Hanyang Univ. She already debuted as a director and female lead in her short piece 'Dissonance' 10 years ago when she was in the 3rd grade of middle school.

On heels of PIFF, festival featuring short films set to grab spotlight

Grab some popcorn and a soda, sit back and relax, as the season of film is upon us.

Fall is a great time for movie buffs in Korea, as the country plays host to the prestigious Pusan International Film Festival, one of the most influential movie events in all of Asia. Also known as PIFF, the event kicks off today in the southern port city of Busan, providing its biggest lineup ever.

While PIFF gets the lion's share of the attention, another film festival later in the fall is increasingly grabbing the spotlight as well.

This year's Asiana International Short Film Festival (AISFF), which runs from Nov. 5 to 10 at the Cinecube theater in Gwanghwamun, central Seoul, will feature 79 films from 32 countries - an impressive tally by any measure.

"I urge moviegoers to turn their attention to AISFF as soon as PIFF ends", veteran actor Ahn Seong-gi, who is serving as director of the short film event for a fifth year, said in a press conference Tuesday.
