Staff Reporter Korea boasts a number of variety shows in both network and cable channels. The longest, and hopefully entertaining, one will greet fans every Saturday night with cable channel tvN's "180 Minutes". The three-hour show will bring three colorful sections: "My Wife Got Married", "The Phone" and "I Am a Producer" with 11 hosts. "My Wife Got Married" is for the family, as two mothers switch places. Celebrity couples Hong Seo-bum and Jo Gap-kyeong along with Lee Se-chang and Kim Ji-young will appear and share their thoughts and experiences as the wives move into each other's homes. "This program will be an experiment where you can experience another family environment and learn to appreciate your own. It will help viewers realize the importance of caring and loving their own family as it is", said Jo at a press conference. Actress Lee Min-yeong has been sued by her sister-in-law, who claims she suffered physical and verbal violence from the actress. Ms. Lee is already involved in another lawsuit over alleged violence by her ex-husband.
The sister-in-law, known only as "Ms. Kim" in court papers, said Ms. Lee hit her and called her abusive names in January 2006. She was three months pregnant at the time and claims she suffered from shortness of breath as a result of shock. Ms. Kim also sued her own husband, Ms. Lee's older brother, for the same offense. She said four months later, her husband had beaten her before he moved out of the house to live with his parents. She claimed to be suffering from facial palsy after that attack. Both lawyers for the Lee siblings denied all the charges. Kim Jae-cheol, the actress's lawyer, said Ms. Kim's claims are groundless. "We are thinking of counter suing for false accusation", he said. Park Seung-jin, Ms. Lee's brother's lawyer, said, Ms. Kim and his client are ...| More | |||

The former couple, stars Lee Min-yeong and Lee Chan, yesterday both refuted claims involving the actress' miscarriage, allegedly caused by her husband's violence.
Ten days ago, the star couple cancelled plans to register their marriage, only 12 days after they got married in a ceremony on Dec. 10. Soon after the couple announced the cancellation of the marriage, Lee Min-yeong disclosed that she was beaten badly by her former husband and was informed that she lost her baby a day later. The TV actress said she also underwent surgery because her nose was broken due to her husband's violence. Lee Chan, however, denied Lee's claim. In a 6-page statement delivered to Yonhap News, Lee said it was his wife who decided to have an abortion on Dec. 21. Lee said he was informed of her decision in a phone call the day before Lee had the surgery. Lee, however, admitted that they had a big fight which ended with several face-slaps.
