The screen these days is full of bizarre girls. After Jeon Ji-hyeon played the youthful and charming bizarre girl in the romantic comedy "My Sassy Girl", the line is not ending. They are now bolder, one step above Jeon Ji-hyeon's sassy girl. But as there is no young brother like an older brother or a younger sister like an older sister, there are not as many successes as "My Sassy Girl".

Park Jeong-ah's movie comes out in two years thanks to popularity of Jewelry

"Frivolous Wife", the movie that Park Jeong-ah, leader of Jewelry, filmed two years ago will see the light. There is a rush of interest as Jewelry is receiving much popularity in the music industry.

The movie is about a frivolous daughter, who has a newly rich father, who marries the eldest grandson of the eldest son from a wealthy family. It tells the crazy story of her life as a wife.

Park Jeong-ah changes from a wild, college student into to the daughter-in-law of a rich family. The grandson is played by Park Jin-woo.

A representative from her company said, "The movie was finished two years ago, but we couldn't find the time to release it due to circumstances of the producing and distributing companies. Jewelry has been popular recently so we decided on its premiere".

Jewelry was very active this spring. They had some new members, and topped charts in various music programs with their song 'One More Time'.

[DVD review] "Dasepo Girl", Suicide, girly-talk

A glimpse of the reactions posted on the Internet regarding "Dasepo Naughty Girl" ("Dasepo Girl") gives some sense of the film's status. A user named Hidraqra writes, "it's the best film I've ever seen, but a film I would never want to see twice". Another writes: "it's a shame that the film was made in our country".
But perhaps that's exactly the response that the director, Lee Jae-yong, was looking for. Mr. Lee, who is known for his stylish, visually-alluring films about sexual taboos, has made a film that is a hard slap in the face of conventional morality, full of puns and visual cues that play with gender stereotypes and cultural taboos.
The film, which was adopted from a Korean internet comic called "Dasepo Naughty Girl", is set in a high school where the objective is to "have no religion". Directed by E J-yong (Lee Jae-yong), the film is an adaptation of popular Internet comic series with the same title. Set in a high school, the film tells a story of students and teachers with strange characteristics.

It takes place in Museulmo High School, whose tradition allows its students and teachers to enjoy free sexual relations. When a substitute teacher announces that their original English teacher is off school early for treatment of a venereal disease, he kindly advises one of female students in the class to go see a doctor, and other girls and boys in the class suddenly urge him to let them see a doctor for the same reason.

The film is full of unrealistic and obscene jokes, created from the strange setting. It doesn't follow the usual steps of a story's development, but focuses on each character's story.

'Dasepo' Invited to Berlinale Fest

"Dasaepo Naughty Girls" ("Dasepo Girl") ( Tasepo Sonyo), an unconventional high school comedy directed by Lee Jae-young, has been invited to the prestigious 57th Berlin International Film Festival in February next year.

The film, based on a popular Internet comic by Chae Jung-taek or better known by his penname B-rate Dal-gung, will be screened at the Panorama section of the Berlinale. The film festival will run Feb.8-18.

E's film, which stars young actors such as Kim Ok-bin, Park Jin-woo and "Lee Kyeon", is about high school students and teachers who enjoy free sexual relations portrayed with colorful and quirky images.

This is the second time E's film has been invited to the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival. His film "Untold Scandal", which stars Bae Yong-joon and Jeon Do-youn, was shown at the 2004 film festival.
