There's no such thing as a secret, especially a big bad one, that's bound to come out in the end and slap you in the face. Mix in some Agatha Christie-style suspense, and you get an unconventional whodunit film where the detective is trying to cover-up clues rather than find them.

Yoon Jae-goo, who penned the script for Won Sin-yeon's 2007 hit thriller "Seven Days" starring "Lost" actress Kim Yoon-jin, grabbed the megaphone this time for his second thriller "Secret - 2009".

The writer-director humbly said he would be happy if "Secret - 2009" does as well as "Seven Days", which was sold to American buyers for a record price at the time among local thrillers. And he's right.

In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the 2009 Korean Film Festival ran Oct 30 to Nov 4 at the GSC Mid Valley's International Screens venue. The six-day festival brings together four diverse titles: family drama "My Mother, the Mermaid" (2004), critically praised independent drama, "Sa-Kwa" (2008), suspense-driven thriller "Seven Days" (2007) and comedy "Our School E.T" (2008).

Back in the late 1970s, "Robot Taekwon V", a super-sized robot fighting for justice and peace, was a national hero.

The star of an animated TV movie and a subsequent TV series inspired a generation, and so it's no surprise that fans now in their 40s are looking forward to the release early next month of the latest "Robot Taekwon V" character.

These characters embody the in-depth story of a fantasy world, as seen in the homegrown hero, Robot Taekwon V.

The 29th Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held tomorrow at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. The red carpet ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m.

Awards will be given in 15 different categories, including Best Film and Best Director.
