Various origins of female stars… 'Miss Korea' group falters

On a breezy spring day in March 2008, the entertainment investigation team of Sports Khan sensed an emergency. The argument between female stars about their influence has become fierce, almost to the point of battle. Accordingly, under the supervision of Detective Choi, the entertainment investigation team had a briefing on the 'Map of Various Powerful Female Stars'. A record of the questions and answers from the briefing are provided.

Detective Choi: As you all know, we've gathered here to discuss the toppling balance of the influence of top female celebrities. Firstly, the 'super model' group has almost taken over the 'Miss Korea' group and has become the 'big sister' of the entertainment industry. Also, the new 'internet beauty' group is extended its boundaries. Contrary to these changes, the 'horror story' group is still steadily on the top.

One after another, the news of stars' pregnancy-delivery follows

While recent 2 years had been ever so busy with many top stars' marriage, the news of their pregnancy and delivery are coming one after another.

First of all, Yeom Jeong-ah gave birth to a 3.5kg daughter by a natural childbirth in Hosan Hosipital at Shin-sa-dong, Kang-nam-gu, Seoul. Yeom Jeong-ah left hospital on 6th and is taking postpartum care at home. She got married to President Hu Il of Seoul Chung-dam Hospital on 30th December 2006.

Actor Lee Hye-eun is 6 months pregnant with her first child in 6 years of marriage and is shooting her drama at the moment. Lee Hye-eun's manage said, "We knew about the news when she was 3 months pregnant. She was careful not to tell the press about her pregnancy because it is her first child in 6 years of marriage. And she was worried that the news may interrupt her from shooting her drama". Her child is due this April. He recently renewed his appeal when he played Great King Gwanggaeto the Great of the Koguryo Kingdom in period drama "Taewangsashingi (The Four Guardian Gods of the King)", which, unusually for a series, is even being shown in theaters in Japan, before it airs on NHK next April. To most of us, life is an unfolding process of love. For others like Soo-mi, however, it is dominated by darkness and fear. Based on the Korean folk tale Jangha and Hongryun, Kim Ji-woon's brilliant gothic horror story "A Tale of Two Sisters " revolves around two sisters, Soo-mi (Im Soo-jeong), and Soo-yeon (Moon Geun-yeong), who are part of a dysfunctional family that live together in a creepy Victorian-style mansion. Feeling alienated from the world, they cling to each other for survival with the older one, Soo-mi, obsessively protecting the younger against danger. For Soo-mi, however, not coming to terms with the circumstances surrounding her mother's death means mental illness and a mind at odds with reality.

Time now for this week's new release of movies.
There are two romantic comedies, one from Korea, the other from Hollywood, plus a war movie.

'The Worst Man of My Life'
Starring well-known actors Yeom Jeong-ah and Tak Jae-hoon, this romantic comedy is a cheerful depiction of the couple's feelings.
But movie critics say occasional scenes intended to be funny get in the way of relating to the characters.

The main character Kate, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, is a top chef in New York.
