Staff Reporter The Seoul International Drama Awards 2009 will be held for 10 days starting from Sept. 4 at various venues around the city. A total of 169 dramas from 37 countries will compete at this year's event under the slogan "Enjoy Star & Story". "The purpose of the SDA 2009 is to raise the profile of Korean series in the international drama market and to expand cultural exchanges", an official from the organizing committee said. Some of Korea's favorite programs will compete with some of the best works from around the world, including countries like Japan, Sweden, Italy and even Ecuador. The awards will be divided into two categories: The Best Drama Award and Individual Prizes. Popular Korean dramas "Beethoven Virus" (MBC), "Painter of the Wind" (SBS) and "The Slingshot" (KBS) will compete with England's "Doctor Who Season 4", China's "Memories of China" and Canada's "The Englishman's Boy", among others.  Actress Choi Ji-woo's visit to Japan has drawn great attention from the media there, amid rumors that she has fallen in love. Japanese sports dailies and broadcasters on Thursday gave intensive coverage of the Korean actress--who arrived at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on Wednesday for a three-day visit until Saturday--and her relationship with actor Lee Jin-wook.Choi was welcomed by some 150 fans waiting at the airport, despite a snowstorm, who gave her a bouquet of flowers. The two have been dating for the past two years, since they met while working on the drama "Air City" in 2007.  Choi Ji-woo has had chances to display all her charms in every possible way by showcasing a great number of outfits in 20-episode SBS drama "Celebrity's Sweetheart " which ended Thursday.Choi's stylist said the actress appeared in 147 outfits up to the 12th episode, averaging 12 ensembles per episode. In the second episode alone, she wore 25 different outfits. The industry says it might be the most number of costume changes in Korean TV history, although there is no accurate record to compare.
