Synopsis

 Eugene (Yoo Jin) becomes the mother of a child and a lucky woman who receives the love of three men--Jo Hyeon-jae, Jae Hee and Sin Seong-rok--one of whom is the father of the baby.The new KBS 2TV (Wed./Thurs.) drama "Three Dads, One Mom" is about a married couple who receives sperm donations from three of the husband's friends. Although the conception is successful, the wife loses her husband suddenly in an accident. The story continues with the wife and the three friends. Eugene plays the role of the widowed mother, "Song Na-young", but this isn't her first role as a mother. In 2005, the actress starred in the MBC drama "Wonderful Life" as a young woman who gets pregnant and thrown into married life after a night of bad judgments. It was not an expected career move.
Model-turned-actress Seo Dan-bi became a household name when she fronted the television ad for KTF mobile phones. But her latest project was live theater, among a cast of actors with disabilities. Seo, 23, appeared in "Angels Without Wings", which was staged at Nowon Art Center last week. "Working with disabled actors has been a thoroughly rewarding experience", said Seo. Since her debut in 2006, Seo has mostly appeared in television commercials, including, most famously, the KTF commercial. The theater show couldn't be more different. Her fellow actors are Kim In-moon, 69, and Kil Byul-eun, both survivors of debilitating strokes that affected their movement, and Kang Min-hwi who has Down's syndrome. People with disabilities are not in the mainstream of society, partly because of social prejudices, Seo said, but she found that her fellow actors were able to convey a deeper and more diverse range of emotions on stage. Yoo Jin and Jo Hyeon-jae have been cast as the main leads in "Three Dads, One Mom" to be aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays on KBS 2TV. Jae Hee and Sin Seong-rok will join the two in the series.
"Three Dads, One Mom" is scheduled to start airing on April 2nd and will be the story of a widow's love and raising a child. The series is a romantic comedy about three men who donate sperm to a friend who was suffering from aspermia, and the wife who becomes pregnant but loses her husband in an accident. Producing director Lee Jae-sang of "Dalja's Spring" and writer Jo Myeong-oo of "The Man of the Vineyard" will be directing and writing the series. Former S.E.S. member Yoo Jin (Eugene) will play single mom Na Young while Jo Hyeon-jae, Jae Hee, and Sin Seong-rok are the three men who donate. A monthly magazine of the 'Korean Drama Script Writers Association' have printed an exclusive article on the perspectives of the Asian 'Korean Waves lovers' toward the Korean dramas.
Under the title, "The voice of the Asian fans toward the Korean dramas" the article includes a thorough analysis of the elements of attraction in the Korean dramas by the critiques of various Asian countries, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, China and Japan. Reporter Jen Ku Yang from 'The Hong Kong Economics Newspaper' said, "For example, previously, many Hong Kongnese only thought of Korea as a violent and unsettled country with large-scaled street demonstrations and violent conflicts. MANILA- Two Korean movie production outfits have chosen the busy streets of Manila, the pristine beaches of Boracay Island in Aklan and the scenic Pagsanjan Falls in Laguna to serve as backdrops for the romantic comedy they are filming here, Department of Tourism secretary Joseph Ace Durano has announced. The crew of DRM Entertainment Co. Ltd. and Story Factory, producers of the romantic comedy "Feel So Good", has been at work in the country since Jan. 9, Durano told Korean and Filipino entertainment writers in a press conference last week. Shooting wraps up on Feb. 23, he added. For this particular production, the DOT is helping the Korean group obtain permits and other logistical requirements for the location shoots.
