Sam-soon and Shin Do-young -- the female characters in Korean dramas "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon" and "Women in the Sun" -- are knocking on the doors of Japanese television. Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV has programmed a special "Hallyu Alpha" airtime for Hallyu dramas -- at 2:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays starting January 11. A recent poll has shown Korean actor Hyeon Bin is the No. 1 Hallyu star Thailand.
In a survey conducted on Thailand's largest Hallyu portal site Pantip.com, Hyeon Bin topped a survey asking respondents to cast a vote for their favorite actor. The 28-year-old actor beat out some of Korea's top celebrities including 'Rain', So Ji-sub and Jang Geun-seok.
Three dramas that Hyeon Bin starred in also ranked within the top 20 of voters' favorite dramas -- "My Name is Kim Sam-soon" in fourth place, "The Snow Queen" in 14th and "Worlds Within" in 20th.##

Several of South Korea's top actors including actress Song Hye-kyo and actor Kang Dong-won have been cast in a multinational omnibus film by directors from Korea, Japan and Thailand, according to the film's production company on Tuesday.
BAL CON announced in a statement that the film, tentatively titled "Busan Project", will be composed of three episodes each set in the past, present and future of the city of Busan in Korea.

Hallyu star Hyeon Bin will visit Japan tomorrow by invitation of Japan's Fuji TV, according to the actor's agency AM Entertainment on Wednesday.
AM explained that Fuji TV had invited Hyeon Bin to Japan in time with two of his dramas airing on the broadcaster's channels starting this month.
His 2005 hit MBC TV series "My Name is Kim Sam-soon" is set to air every afternoon on Fuji's public network starting January 11 as part of its newly established 'Hallyuα' project while his drama "Friend, Our Story" from last year will show on BS Fuji, Fuji TV's digital satellite broadcasting station, on January 17.##

Actor Seo Do-yeong, who is busy these days shooting the TV drama "Taming Of The Heir" and the Korea-Japan joint movie "Jeolla Poems", has visited Japan. Seo is popular in Japan for his role in the TV drama "Spring Waltz". He held his fourth fan meeting at the Tokyo International Forum Hall on December 12.
The meeting marked the third anniversary of Seo's official mobile site and the launch of his official Japanese site (http://www.s-doyoung.com). The actor said that he had slept only two hours after shooting a movie until 4 a.m. and that he wanted to have fun with his fans despite his tight schedule.
On the question how he kept fit, Seo said he did his best to train himself mentally in order to endure his harsh work schedule.
Seo plays Edward in the TV drama "Taming Of The Heir". In the movie "Jeolla Poems" he plays a Korean-Japanese who aspires to be a poet and visits Korea in search of his identity.
