The Grand Prize for MBC's Entertainment Awards went to comedian and television host Yoo Jae-seok, Tuesday night.
The 37-year-old has now won the award for five consecutive years, including grand prizes from networks such as KBS and SBS, becoming the first Korean celebrity to do so.
"I am so grateful, but I am also very sorry. It's so easy to become boring when the program has been running for a long time, but I will strive to bring change and new items to the table", he said after receiving his award, mentioning his gratitude to fellow nominees Kang Ho-dong, Lee Gyung-gyu, Park Mi-seon and Lee Hwi-jae.
"I'm becoming a father next year and I hope I get to enjoy my programs with my child even through the year 2022", he added.

Yoo Jae-seok has been named "comedian of the year".
The 37-year-old received 51.6 percent of the votes cast in a survey of 1,726 people aged 13 or older conducted by Gallup.
This marks the fifth year in a row that Yoo has been honored with the award.
Yoo has been emceeing on several television entertainment programs such as KBS's "Happy Together" and MBC's "Infinite Challenge".
Kang Ho-dong came in second with 43.5 percent. He maintained the runner-up position, also for the fifth straight year.
Lee Soo-geun ranked a distant third with 11.3 percent, followed by Shin Bong-seon (7.8 percent) and Park Myeong-soo (4.4 percent).

South Korea's pop diva Lee Hyo-lee will return to the stage as a singer in October.
According to press reports, Lee will resume her singing career in October with the release of her fourth album. She released her third album in July last year.
"We are now collecting songs to be recorded on the new album, which will be more mature. We are trying to be perfect in producing the album, taking into account Hyo-lee is one of the top singers in the country", an official at M-Net Entertainment, her agency, was quoted as saying. "We are also pooling ideas to come up with innovative dance performances".
Lee, 30, started off as a member of the K-pop girl group Fin.K.L. She emerged as a sex symbol and star after "10 Minutes", from her first solo album, became a hit. She regained her fame last year with "U-Go-Girl", the title track from her third album.
