Simultaneous production of drama and its theatrical version increases efficiency
Generalization of digital shooting breaks down barriers of human resources & technology
Respect of different ways of producing broadcast programs and movies brings higher efficiency

Combination of movie & TV drama continues to evolve. Exchange between Chungmuro, Korean equivalent to Hollywood, and Yeo-ui-do, hub of broadcasting networks, was born as filmmakers produced TV dramas and drama PDs made movies. The exchange has brought the boom of 'Cross Over' such as 'TV Movie' and 'Theatrical Version'. Recently, there is an increasing number of works whose two versions as TV drama and movie were simultaneously made even in the stage of planning. The film and broadcasting industries expect this kind of 'format convergence' to be a chance to increase efficiency and quality in each genre and call for thorough preparedness based on understanding of features that each medium has.

The show, "I am GHOST", will be featured on BEE TV, a mobile phone broadcaster, starting Oct. 20. The preview will be held at the Tokyo International Forum Hall in Yurakucho, Oct. 13.

Thanks to the Korean wave, or "Hallyu" boom, movie lovers can see more Korean movie stars in Hollywood films these days.

Most recently on July 29, a group of Japanese fans flocked to Seoul to see Korean actor Lee Byeong-heon at a press conference to mark the launch of his latest movie "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" with his co-stars Sienna Miller and Channing Tatum and the director Stephen Sommers (who made "The Mummy 3" (2008)).

Lee Byeong-heon captured the hearts of Asian fans on the popular SBS drama "All In" (2003) co-starring Song Hye-kyo, and also his movies including "A Bittersweet Life" (2005) and "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" (2008). Lee's filmography has attracted the attention of other Hollywood film directors like Steven Spielberg and James Cameron.

Lee will play Storm Shadow, a Japan-trained Korean ninja who is part of the terrorist group Cobra, in his first Hollywood film. Based on the G.I. Joe Real American Hero action figure brand, this movie tells the story of...| More

Korean-Australian actor David No has already made a name for himself working with Jackie Chan in "Mr. Nice Guy" and with the Wachowski Brothers on "The Matrix Reloaded".

But No is not just another hunky actor. He's also a filmmaker, producer, stuntman, stunt choreographer and a martial arts expert.

No met with The Korea Times over smoothies last week to talk about growing up in a martial arts family, how he got his start in action films and his work in the Korean film industry.

Born in Melbourne, No was exposed to martial arts at a young age. His father No Ke-hyung is responsible for establishing taekwondo in Australia in 1965, while his mother Robin Marchment was the first-ever female black belt in Australia.

His family's business involved teaching martial arts. By age 15 he was teaching adult classes, and at 19 he opened his own club.

As a member of the Australian national judo and taekwondo teams, No was no doubt good at mart...| More

"A Story about Extreme, Death-Defying Love"

- This is a really sad love story.
"Sorry, I Love You" is a story about Cha Mu-hyeok (So Ji-seop), who faces death everyday with two bullets stuck in the head, and Song Eun-chae (Lim Su-jeong), whose chance encounter with him develops into an extreme love affair.

- "Sorry, I Love You" begins with a man's fight for revenge
Cha Mu-hyeok is a show business manager who plans to take his revenge on his birth mother for having abandoned him. After being abandoned by his mother, he was adopted by an Australian family at the age of two. He, however, left his foster home when he was 10 because of his adopted parents' ill treatment. He is a man making a living as a henchman of a street gang, a pimp, or a drug pusher.

- "Sorry, I Love You" is a story about an extreme love affair of two men and a woman
Though he has been hit with bullets in the head, Cha Mu-hyeok insists on going to Korea to see his birth mother determined to die in his birth country. Contrary to his belief that she abandoned him for poverty, his birth mother turns out to be a top movie star and his twin brother also a top star. In a plot to revenge himself on his mother, Mu-hyeok volunteers to work for his twin brother, Choi Yun (Chung Kyeong-ho), as his manager in a bid to run him. In the process, Mu-hyeok falls in deep love with Yun's program coordinator, Song Eun-chae.

I'm Sorry I Love You by blanca

I
t's a great film except I was disappointed with the turn of events that Minju's mother never knew she's had twins; Minju died from an illness & suffered through it all without his mother by his side! It's a good movie but it didn't deliver at the end! Great acting though of So Ji Sub - he deserved his Baeksang Award as best actor!
