Korean actors Park Sin-hye and Song Joong-ki have been named publicity ambassadors for the 17th Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF).

Actor Lee Wan has been cast for a leading role in a Japanese drama. The Japanese press reported that Lee had already concluded an agreement with Fuji TV to appear in the melodrama "Magnolia".
A love story between a Korean man and a Japanese woman studying in the U.S., the drama will begin shooting in New York next March.
Anne Suzuki will play Lee's opposite. Suzuki, who began her acting career when she was a little girl, has appeared in a number of TV shows and films, including "Hana and Alice", "The Blue Light", "Start Line, and "Stand Up".

Actor Lee Wan has recently held his first fan meeting in Japan, heralding the birth of another hallyu star.
The actor met with his Japanese fans twice on July 10 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, drawing some one thousand fans, and will hold another fan meeting on July 12 in Osaka.
Hosted by anchor Shirai Kyoko from Tokyo Broadcasting System, the meetings were held in the form of a talk show, with Lee answering his fans' questions.
Asked how he relieves fatigue, the actor said he doesn't feel fatigued when he feels satisfied with his acting despite tight filming schedules when he can sleep only three or four hours a week. However, he added that currently he is satisfied with his acting in only one out of 100 scenes he films, but will continue to work to perfect his acting skills.
On the type of women he likes, Lee said he would like to have an understanding, considerate and wise girlfriend who would also like him a lot.

Rising teenage actress Park Sin-hye, who has become popular in Japan since the drama "Trees in Heaven" aired there in March, has been offered an opportunity to promote herself in Japan.
The 17 year-old actress is the only star in her teens among the Korean stars who have been invited to the Fuji TV-sponsored Korean star photo exhibition to be held in Tokyo until July 2. Other invited stars include Japanese favorite Bae Yong-joon, Jang Dong-gun, Lee Young-ae, Won Bin and Son Ye-jin.
Park will not only make an appearance at the exhibition but also participate in an auction hosted by the exhibition organizer, where the stars' personal mementos will be auctioned off. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to UNICEF.

| Drama "Trees in Heaven" to Air in Japan (Source) |

SBS TV's special drama "Trees in Heaven" will air across Japan starting from April.
SBS said on Mar. 7, "Fuji TV, a terrestrial network in Japan, will air the drama 'Trees in Heaven' during late-night hours on Thursdays starting from Apr. 13". Prior to this, BS Fuji, a satellite channel of Fuji TV, will broadcast the drama every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. starting from Apr. 6.
The version of "Trees in Heaven" that will be aired on Fuji TV and BS Fuji will be an abridged edition dubbed in Japanese. Its original version with Japanese subtitles will air on CS Fuji, a cable channel of Fuji TV, in July.
"Trees in Heaven" stars Lee Wan and Park Sin-hye and is the last of drama director Lee Jang-soo's so-called "three-part heaven series", following "Beautiful Days" and "Stairway to Heaven".
"Beautiful Days" and "Stairway to Heaven" won high popularity among Japanese fans because they featured hallyu stars such as Lee Byeo-heon and Choi Ji-woo.
