Broadcasting station, especially television drama production, is often called as the core of desire and materialism. TV station is the place of envy for many people, but they also criticize it as the place where unethical thoughts are generalized. However, those who work in drama production team are not different from us; they are common people who need love and care just like others. Most of Korean dramas are focused on family problems and troubled relationships between lovers. However, for the moderners, workplace is where they spend most of their time. If one fails to build decent relationships with others in his workplace, it would be hard to read his life as a success. “Worlds Within” will bring out the stories of drama production staffs; the warm, touching stories of their love and life.
Hyeon Bin (Jeong Ji-oh)
He is acute, righteous, humane, warm-hearted, and passionate. He is also the envy of his juniors. Two miniseries, which he produced in the last three years, had good ratings and were highly acclaimed for their quality. Now, he is producing another miniseries which has a good quality and high ratings.
Song Hye-kyo (Joo Joon-yeong)
She finished the harsh period as an assistant producer six months ago. Two short dramas which she produced lately received a favorable evaluation and enjoyed high ratings. As she was awarded a prize at a drama festival held in foreign country, she became a new producer of note.
She is straightforward, passionate, delightful, firm, and cool. But, through her parents, she has learned early how thin and futile trust can be between people. Knowing that, she cannot decide what to do in the relationship with Jio which obviously has ended while her heart just aches.
While Junyeong(Song Hye-gyo) is busy preparing for her boyfriend’s birthday party, Jio(Hyeon-bin)’s film is accidently destroyed and Junyeong was sent as a sub-director. However, a stuntman gets into an accident while filming, and Jio faces urgent situations because of this. For Junyeong, it is the day that she’s about to meet Jungi, who she recently broke up. When exhausted Junyeong comes back home after filming, Jungi says goodbye to her. He tells Junyeong that he is sick and tired of her selfishness. In the mean time, Jio does his very best to broadcast the film but got slapped in the face.
Junyeong receives a script that is in her favor and wants to seek advice from Jio. While reading and analyzing the script, the two go to eat noodle soup at the place where they used to go together. Jio and Junyeong recollect their school year memories in there, and Jio remembers of Junyeong’s straight forward and outspoken persona. While Junyeong is getting herself absorbed into the reality, instead of the reminiscence, Jio casually tells Junyeong that he broke up with Yeonhui.
Junyeong decides to outsource a special program to Yunyeong's company. Minchul is upset about this decision and yells at her. While comforting Junyeong, Jio tells her that he had long wanted to get back together with her.
Jio visits Junyeong’s home to give her help on analyzing the script, and he kisses on her lips. Junyeong and Jio now know their feeling for each other, and they head to airport for oversea filming.
Junyeong is revenging Yunyeong by ordering her to re-shoot the scenes. Junyeong and Jio are having sweet moments together. However, Jio’s ex-girlfriend Yeonhui comes to meet Jio and stirs up his mind.
Jio unexpectedly meets Junyeong’s mother, and Junyeong feels ashamed of her mother’s disappointing manner. Meanwhile, Sukyeong’s ill feeling against Gyuho is going from bad to worse.
Minchul is happy to be together with Yoonyeong, and Gyuho slowly opens his mind to Haejin. Jio is surprised by his father’s sudden visit to the broadcasting station.
Jio and Gyu-ho put their pride on the line in the Drama production department’s rugby match. While trying to get a nap after a hard day of filming, Junyeong is surprised when Jio suddenly hugs her from behind.
