 Actor Kwon Sang-woo has established a cosmetics company, Natural Tears, and will become an advertising model for its brand "Tears", the company's PR agency said.Tears has been named after his nickname "Mr. Tears", which was given by his fans in Japan and other Asian nations in recognition of his tear-jerking acting in the SBS-TV drama "Stairway to Heaven". He starred in it with actress Choi Ji-woo. It will be the first time in two years that he will appear as a model in a commercial for cosmetics goods. Natural Tears will open its first outlet in Myeongdong, Seoul, in December. Kwon will run the company as its CEO and will hold autographing sessions at the grand opening. It is his second business launching following the opening of the coffee shop chain Tea'us in Myeongdong in May. Moviegoers and drama lovers flipping through photos of Incheon and may think certain places seem vaguely familiar. With beaches, islands, an amusement park, Chinatown and Korea's largest airport, it's no wonder this metropolitan city has established itself as a filming location for movies such as the recent Cannes favorite, "Thirst".
"There seem to be all kinds of interesting sites in Incheon", says Yook Sang-hyo, director of the 2004 film "Hi, Dharma 2: Showdown in Seoul". "The beautiful roads by the seaside and the busy ports make it possible for the city to be a great background for any kind of movie". He's not kidding. Staff Reporter The nation's top actress and actor have been sued for alleged contract breach. A drama production firm filed a lawsuit against Ko Hyeon-jeong, starring MBC's hit soap opera "Queen Seon-deok", in April, demanding she pay contract money back and penalty, according to the Seoul Central District Court Friday. Ko was cast for the production agency's drama "Daemul" in March last year and made a contract with the firm. But the shooting and airing of the soap opera has been delayed due to a broadcaster's circumstances, and she appeared in "The Great Queen Seondeok" instead. "Ko decided on the new drama without consulting with us. We demand she pay 560 million won in contract money and damages for breach of trust", the company claimed in the complaint. It claimed that it could have signed a contract with another broadcaster if she had not appeared in the MBC drama.
