Lee Yeon-hee, Han Ye-seul, Lee Bo-yeong, Jeong Ryeo-won, and Lee Ha-na were nominated for the New Actress Award in a movie for the 44th Baek-sang Awards.

According to the announcement, Lee Bo-yeong of "Once Upon a Time", Lee Yeon-hee of "M", Lee Ha-na of "Le Grand Chef", Jeong Ryeo-won of "2 Faces of My Girlfriend", and Han Ye-seul of "Miss Gold Digger" were nominated.

There is great expectation for who will receive the glory of the award, for they are all beautiful great stars. Also, "The Chaser" has been nominated for six categories at this year's Baek-sang Awards, including best picture, best directing, new director, best screenplay, best actor, and popularity.

Other nominees for the best picture were "Forever the Moment", "Secret Sunshine", "Happiness", and "May 18".

The Baek-sang Awards will be on April 24.

Lee Jeong-jae and Jeong Ryeo-won will be acting as lovers on the screen.

They confirmed to star in the movie "Mellows", which will start filming late April, and are now working on the details.

"Mellows" is a melodrama portraying the love between an insurance inspector whose wife committed suicide and a blind woman who had been in a coma for a year. "Mellows" has drawn great interest, as it is a new movie by Director Song Hae-seong, who also produced "Failan" and "Our Happy Time".

Because it is a love with someone in a coma, it will contain a feeling of fantasy as it goes back and forth from fantasy to reality.

There is great interest to see the on-screen chemistry between Lee Jeong-jae, who is coming back to the screen after a long break after "Riot in a Bar in 1724", and Jeong Ryeo-won, whose first movie was 2 Faces of My Girlfriend".

Actress Jeong Ryeo-won has been named a PR ambassador of Overseas Koreans Day, which has been designated as Oct. 5.

The Foreign Ministry designated the day to bolster unity among overseas Koreans.

Jeong spent her school years in Australia and was a member of the girl band Chakra. Recently, she created an image of an upbeat and cheerful person through her role in the movie "2 Faces of My Girlfriend".

The actress will launch her activities as the PR ambassador on Oct. 1 after receiving her appointment at the Foreign Ministry. A ministry official said the number of overseas Koreans currently reaches some seven million and that Jeong will act as their representative....

Time now to check movies in cinemas.
There are two Korean movies getting attention this week: a drama and a romantic comedy.
There is also a Hollywood action thriller based on a novel.
Lee Jeewon has details.
The first love and its tragic consequence.
This theme has been dealt with for ages in movies and literature even before Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
A new movie by director Kwak Gyeong-taek is about main character Chae Inho's unceasing love for his elementary school sweetheart Miju.
But when they meet again as adults, the two are stuck in a situation where they can't be together.
Despite the mushy nature of the theme, the movie displays many elements of machismo and violence.

The scariest transformation since the Hulk is how movie marketers dub the film "2 Faces of My Girlfriend".
When Gu Chang meets a girl named Ani for the first time, he thinks she is the sweetest.
But he realizes she has multiple personalities and later finds out that Ani is not even her real na...

Romantic comedies come in all forms, starring out-of-ordinary heroines like Drew Barrymore in "50 First Dates" (2004), who suffers from short-term memory loss; and Uma Thurman, an estranged super-powered woman in "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" (2006). Likewise, "2 Faces of My Girlfriend" takes the classic genre to a whole new level featuring a character with a severe case of multiple personality disorder.

Gu-chang (Bong Tae-gyu) leads a tragic existence. The seventh-year college student constantly fails job interviews and lives off of an allowance from his divorced sister while taking money from his little nephew. To make matters worse, the almost 30-year-old virgin has never had a girlfriend, let alone experienced his first kiss. In Korean, Gu-chang is a homonym for the word meaning "a sore in the mouth".

But springtime finally seems to have arrived for Gu-chang, defrosting the stark winters of his barren love life, when he meets the sweet and innocen...
