Actress Oh Yeon-seo has been diagnosed with swine flu that she had to take a break from filming.
She has been filming "Balloon" in Busan where she felt sick and went to the hospital for treatments. She has been resting and is to start shooting the film next week.
The actress hass been in a horror movie, "A Blood Pledge##" as her first screen debut where she was praised as a horror queen.
In the new film, "Balloon" she is an Indie band vocal singer. It is a comic melodramatic film about young peoples' love life. She has been getting vocal training for this movie.

It's movie week for foreigners in Korea.
Enjoy Korean movies that you have missed on the big screen, complete with English and Japanese subtitles this week.
The event, which began early this week, is part of the Seoul Grand Sale 2009 (Sept. 26 to Nov. 25) that is attracting tourists through colorful shopping events, participated in by some 500 businesses and 800 stores spread out in the trendiest street in Seoul including Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Itaewon, Insadong, Hongdae, Yeouido and Gangnam.
The movies will be screened at a multiplex CGV theater and Lotte Cinema. It is 6,000 won per ticket, but in the case of Lotte Cinema, a person who purchases one ticket can bring one foreign friend along for free upon presentation of a coupon.
The CGV branches at Myeong-dong, Yongsan and Apugujeong-dong will be screening films like "Closer to Heaven" and "The Sword with No Name", which opened recently and are still playing in other Korean theaters.

The Seoul government is offering foreign moviegoers a chance to enjoy the latest Korean films with foreign subtitles at a discounted price. Cinema Week continues through Saturday at major theater chains in the city as part of Seoul Grand Sale 2009.
CGV Myeongdong, Yongsan and Apgujeong will offer movies subtitled in English, Japanese and Chinese for a reduced rate of 6,000 won. Titles include the tearjerker "Closer to Heaven" starring Kim Myeong-min as a dying Lou Gehrig's disease patient and Ha Ji-won as his devoted wife, and "The Sword With No Name", a star-crossed romance between a queen (Soo-ae) and her bodyguard (Jo Seung-woo) during the late Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910).

The 13th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) kicks off July 16 – 26 with an exciting range of new Korean independent genre films, commercial hits and rare classics. Among the 12 films vying for the Puchon Choice competition section's top prizes are Korean low-budget omnibus feature "The Neigbor Zombie", by four Korean directors, OH Young-doo, RYOO Hoon, HONG Young-guen, and JANG Youn-jung and the spring released detective thriller "Private Eye" starring HWANG Jeong-min and written and directed by PARK Dae-min.

Viewers will soon be able to see the fifth part of the movie series "Whispering Corridors" entitled "A Blood Pledge", which began in 1998. The series has gained popularity so far for producing many top actresses, such as Kim Gyoo-ri, Choi Kang-hee, Park Jin-hee, Kim Min-seon, Park Ye-jin, Lee Yeong-jin, Kong Hyo-jin, Song Ji-hyo, Park Han-byeol, Cho An, Kim Ok-bin, Seo Ji-hye, Chae Ye-rin and this time Jang Kyeong-ah, 22, Son Eun-seo, 23, Oh Yeon-seo, 22, Yoo Shin-ae, 21, and Song Min-jeong, 22.
We met with the five soon-to-be horror stars ahead of the movie's opening, expecting to see them nervous and excited. But their sassiness made them appear confident.
