The titular role will be played by LEE Yeon-hee and her love interest is a role by YOO Ji-tae. The story is about a high school girl (LEE) who every morning sees a shy thirty-year-old businessman (YOO) at the elevator. The girl is not afraid to express her feelings for the man who is the first she feels romantic feelings for. The young actress LEE is still mostly acting the roles of young women encountering their first love. She is currently also playing a similar assertive young woman in the television drama "East of Eden", and portrayed a headstrong young woman in the teenage drama "A Millionaire's First Love". "Volcano High" director KIM Tae-gyoon is the director of the upcoming Japanese manga adaptation "Higanjima". Tetsuya Oishi who previously scripted the popular Death Note scenarios is writing the script. Casting is still not decided. The horror film is expected to reach cinemas in the summer of 2009. In "Higanjima", a man and his friends travel to a mysterious island in search of his vanished brother. The island turns out to be inhabited by vampires. Upcoming South Korean feature "Crossing", a harrowing tale about a North Korean family's desperate struggle to survive, screened at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. last week. Those in attendance included House International Relations Committee specialists Dennis Halpin and Doug Anderson, Peter Beck, executive director of the US Committee for Human Rights in North Korea, KIM Sung-min, a former N.K. refugee and close to 100 foreign journalists. Halpin, a Republican, called the film a "masterpiece" in its portrayal of human suffering under dictatorship, putting it on par with the "Diary of Anne Frank". Beck called "Crossing" the best film ever made on the subject of North Korean defectors. Several in the audience reportedly broke into tears as they watched the family's sad plight. Based on the real-life accounts of numerous North Korean refugees, the film centers on a family of three, the husband, Yong-soo, his wife, and their 11-year-old son. Director/writer RYOO Jang-ha makes his comeback after his 2004 "Springtime" (Kkotbineun Bomi Omyeon) featuring CHOI Min-sik, with the romantic drama Soonjeongmanwha ("Hello Schoolgirl" - English translation: "pure comic strip") starring YOO Ji-tae and LEE Yeon-hee.
The film's about a thirty-year-old office employee and a female student who run into each other every morning at an elevator. Both are secretly in love with each other. Filming commenced on the first day of April. The film is scheduled for a release in the fall. The romantic drama is produced by Let's Film. YOO Ji-tae played CHOI Min-sik's character's nemesis in PARK Chan-wook's "Old Boy". Hyeon Bin and Lee Bo-yeong will be acting together as a patient and a nurse. In director Yoon Jong-chan's new movie "I Am Happy", the two will meet in a mental hospital and fall in love as a patient and a nurse.
Hyeon Bin plays a young man who suffers from a mental disorder due to a dysfunctional family and lifestyle. Lee Bo-yeong stars as the nurse who takes care of him. This is his comeback to the screen two years after "A Millionaire's First Love" and receiving love as 'Sam-shik' in "My Name is Kim Sam-soon". Lee Bo-yeong, after her first main role in "Once Upon a Time", will show another side of her.
