As part of the project conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea for R&D on CT (Culture & Technology), the global project is to provide technological support on a large scale to visual content which appeals globally.
'The Host 2', a sequence to 'The Host' (Gwoemul) of 2006 (director: Bong Joon-ho), follows the accident in 2000 of toxic chemicals being dumped into Han River and the birth of monster in 2006. Backed by the popularity The Host enjoyed, the sequel is expected to garner popularity both in North America and the traditional creature movie market.
