Staff Reporter Singer-songwriter Jung Jae-hyung has released a new album, " Promenade ", under the Sony Classical label, and some may be surprised to realize that this is actually the soundtrack for the currently showing film "Why Did You Come to My House - Movie". The former pop star has written scores for several movies including "Addicted" (2002) and "Changing Partners" (2007), but Promenade involved a different creative process. The tracks may have been inspired by the quirky love story starring Kang Hye-jeong, but the movie's postponed release gave Jung a good year to work on the music as if it were a solo project. "Normally with films I have to be efficient because I'm given a limited amount of time, and I sometimes have to even rewrite songs if the movie's ending changes", the 37-year-old told The Korea Times in a recent interview in Seoul. "It functions as a film soundtrack but I wanted it to have a life on its own". Creating music for Promenade ...| More

By Lee Hyo-wonStaff Reporter In tune with Family Month comes a heartwarming tale about cherished childhood memories, "Unforgettable". Set in an obscure village during the 1970s, the film captures the beauty of simplicity and signals a return to an age of innocence. The old becomes new ― the retro story will be like a breath of fresh air to computer game-addicted urbanites. It's a small jewel of a film, where director Song Dong-yoon uses analog film rather than digital to immortalize the breathtaking natural scenery of Sindo. Mellow piano tunes compliment the visuals, though some of the overly dramatic soundtracks for touching moments are a bit cliche. Nevertheless, it shows how computer-generated imagery, no matter how glitzy or high-tech, cannot rival the sight of glistening, rolling hills on a sunny day or a golden sunset by the beach. Korea's favorite child actor Yoo Seung-ho was much loved as the bratty city boy who learns to appreciate country life and his grandm...| More
Hollywood has remade the Korean movie "Addicted" into a thriller, "Possession" and will be premiering nationwide on the 28th. This is the second remake of a Korean movie following "Lake House" starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, which remade "Il Mare"."Addicted", starring Lee Byeong-heon and Lee Mi-yeon, premiered in 2002. It was about two brothers-in-law who experienced an accident on the same day, and the mysterious love story that follows after only the brother-in-law wakes up and claims that their souls have changed. The basic outline of the Hollywood remake is the same. The main female character, originally Lee Mi-yeon, will be played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was in "Scooby Doo" and "The Grudge". Also, the role of the brother-in-law that earned Lee Byeong-heon a lot of praise went to new actor Lee Pace. Simon Sandquist and Joel Bergvall are the directors. The movie has not been revealed, and a preview in America is planned for this week. A release in Korea has not b...| More
