In the afternoon of the 8th, there was a conference for the OCN TV movie "Director Jang vs. Director Kim" in Sunjae Art Center in Seoul. The main characters and Director Jang Hang-joon and Director Kim Jeong-woo are taking a photo.

The comic battle "Director Jang vs. Director Kim" involves Director Jang Hang-joon of "Break Out" and Director Kim Jeong-woo of "The Best Romance". They each make two works for the screen and television, and the winner will be determined by the number of audience and television ratings.

Lee Myeong-se's latest psychodrama "M" got a lot of attention at the Pusan International Film Festival which ended on Friday, partly because there were only a handful of "new" Korean films making their formal debuts. Another, more important reason was that "M" features top-rated stars such as Kang Dong-won.

He is a heartthrob in Korea, and director Lee, who became famous for his stylized features like "Nowhere to Hide" and "Duelist". The two were a big draw during a press preview held in Seoul on Tuesday.

The film revolves around the experience of a writer of a bestseller, Min-woo (played by Gang), and his dreamy journey into the past where he attempts to reunite with his first love, whose existence is shrouded in mystery.

Comic Books: A sign of New Nationalism in Japan?

The Internet has become an increasingly influential medium throughout East Asia. In this article we examine the case of Kenkanryu ('"Hating 'The Korean Wave'"), a manga published in 2005 in hard copy, but available online as a web comic for many months prior to print publication. We argue that the content, while nationalist, xenophobic, and 'toxic' is only one of a number of other, media-related reasons for the sales success of this comic in Japan. Other factors are the influence of online chat groups, the web as a means of communicating and selling ideas and products, and the Internet-savvy way in which supporters of the views expressed in the comic communicated with online readers. The pop singer Lee Hyeon-woo and the jazz pianist Kim Gwang-min have many things in common. They are both single, known for their love of alcoholic drinks, their disdain for marriage and their passion for music. The two are fondly remembered as the hosts of the MBC-TV show "Wednesday Art Stage".
The show ended three years ago after eight years, yet it has not faded from people's memories because of its strong live performances and the entertaining presence of the two M.C.s. Even after the show ended, the two men remained good friends and supportive critics of each other's music.
In a recent interview, Kim, 47 and Lee, 41, showed off their friendship for the JoongAng Ilbo. Lee started by talking about Kim's latest album, "Sigan Yeohaeng" (Time Travel).

Bean Pole Jeans, a local fashion brand, yesterday confirmed that it will hire Wentworth Miller, an American actor who is rapidly becoming a major heartthrob for young Koreans, as the brand's next model. Miller recently earned international acclaim with his performance in "Prison Break", the smash-hit U.S. TV series.

"We concluded a one-year contract with Wentworth Miller who has become a fashion icon in America", said Cheil Industries Inc.

The company said it decided to pick Miller as its model because his intellectual appeal, presented in "Prison Break", matched well with its brand's image. The company is to arrange a fan meeting when Miller visits Korea on Feb. 10-11.

Last month, the company refused to elaborate on details of the negotiations with Miller. But its signing of actress Gwyneth Paltrow to its list of models last year along with Daniel Henney, a Korean-American actor, led industry observers to guess Bean Pole would soon close a deal with the "Prison Break" star.
