Staff Reporter Singer-songwriter Jung Jae-hyung has released a new album, " Promenade ", under the Sony Classical label, and some may be surprised to realize that this is actually the soundtrack for the currently showing film "Why Did You Come to My House - Movie". The former pop star has written scores for several movies including "Addicted" (2002) and "Changing Partners" (2007), but Promenade involved a different creative process. The tracks may have been inspired by the quirky love story starring Kang Hye-jeong, but the movie's postponed release gave Jung a good year to work on the music as if it were a solo project. "Normally with films I have to be efficient because I'm given a limited amount of time, and I sometimes have to even rewrite songs if the movie's ending changes", the 37-year-old told The Korea Times in a recent interview in Seoul. Six twenty-something characters are invited for a party by their elementary school classmate Mi-ja (Seo Young-hee, the neurotic landlady from "Jealousy is My Middle Name"), who has been caring for her former teacher Ms. Park (Oh Mi-hee), now infirm and wheelchair-bound. The guests turn out to be a motley crew of losers and basket cases, however. Worse, each of them bears a serious grudge against Ms. Park. Korean actress Seong Hyeon-ah has been presented with a Best Actress award from the 10th Malaga International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain, which ran from November 8-15. She was awarded for her role in the horror film "Cello".The honor marks the first festival award received by Seong, who has previously appeared in such films as "Woman is the Future" of Man by HONG Sang-soo and "Time" by KIM Ki-duk. "Cello", directed by LEE Woo-cheol, was released in Korea in August 2005, and centers around a professional cellist whose daughter begins to act in strange ways. The 32-year old Seong will marry a businessman named Hur, who is a year younger than her. However, no other details regarding her fiance are being disclosed. The wedding will take place in Busan at the request of her future husband's family who has ties there. Seong met her fiance in March through a mutual acquaintance. Both their parents are supportive of the marriage. Her future mother-in-law reportedly liked Seong so much that she wanted the couple to get married this year. Seong is known for her strong, sexy roles in Kim Ki-duk's "Time" and Kim Tae-eun's "The Intimate" ("Lover"). Hit Entertainment and Cello Media jointly launched recently an international TV channel for preschool children. This joint venture followed Cello Media's purchase of the TV channel, called JimJam, which was initially an Italian preschool children's channel.
Cello Media manages content for Liberty Global, Europe's largest cable operator. Hit Entertainment and Cello Media plan to broadcast various preschool children's programs on the channel, such as Hit Entertainment's flagship programs Thomas and Friends, Bob the Builder, and Fireman Sam and Pingu, as well as programs from international distributors. JimJam will also be launched on cable and satellite TV in Eastern and Western Europe by the end of this year.
