The actor Yeon Jeong-hoon, starred in "Sweet Dream" and "Daddy-Long-Legs" became a guardian angel for a 9-year-old boy Lee Jong-hyeon who has Hydrocephalus.##
Hydrocephalus is a disease in which the brain has too much water; thus, requiring surgery. Jong-hyeon had about 20 surgeries because of this and because the skull's deformation caused by this illness. The boy had once said to the "Make A Wish" organization that it's hard to make friends and wishes to become closer with his classmates.

Gong Pil-du (Lee Moon-sik), detective in charge of violent crimes who has no talent in the job is a headache to his colleagues. The forty-year-old detective is bachelor and has no interests in marriage despite his father's (Byeon Hee-bong) browbeating.
One day, his father falls down. Gong Pil-du goes to Tae-gon (Kim Soo-ro) who is gang member to borrow money for surgery. But he is deceived by Tae-gon and falsely accused of corruption. Gong follows Tae-gon's girlfriend, Min-ju (Kim Yoo-mi) to catch Tae-gon.
The movie "Detective Mr. Gong" to be released on May 11 is like a soup that college students make in membership training camp. Because all sorts of ingredients are put in the soup, it is hard to understand what the soup was supposed to be.

According to Kim Ji-suk, a programmer of the Pusan International Film Festival, on Jan. 30, film director Lim Tae-hyeong, who directed the film "Hello Brother" (2005), won the best director award in the "Spiritual Cinema" division of the 24th Fajr International Film Festival which ended in Teheran, Iran on Jan. 30.
"Hello Brother" portrays a touching story about a nine-year-old boy "Janghani" (played by Park Ji-bin) who tries to save his older brother who is suffering from cancer. Park won the "Silver Iris for Best Actor Award" at the first New Montreal Filmfest held in Canada in September of last year for his acting in this film.
Meanwhile, other South Korean films failed to win awards at the Iranian film festival. Actor Bae Yong-joon's latest film "April Snow" on January 31st will open the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema in France.
"My Right to Ravage Myself" director Jeon Soo-il will also serve as a juror in the festival.
In the Fajr International Film Festival opening Friday in Iran, "A Family" will compete in the international film division and "Hello Brother" in the spiritual cinema division.
The Asian films category will have the Korean War blockbuster "Taegukgi", "Cracked Eggs and Noodles", "Daddy-Long-Legs" and "Long and Winding Road".

Four Korean films have been invited to the "Competition of Asian Cinemas" division at the "24th Fajr International Film Festival" to be held in Tehran on Jan. 20-30.
The films are "Taegukgi: Brotherhood of War" (director: Kang Je-gyu, 2003), "Cracked Eggs and Noodles" (director: Oh Sang-hoon, 2005), "Daddy-Long-Legs" (director: Kong Jeong-sik, 2005), and "Long and Winding Road" (director: Koo Seong-joo).
According to Kim Ji-suk, a programmer of the Pusan International Film Festival, the "Competition of Asian Cinemas" division was established for the first time this year with the purpose of reviving Asian films.
