The male cast for Director Lee Joon Ik's new film has been determined.
With Soo-ae as the female lead, Jeong Jin-yeong, Eom Tae-woong, and Jeong Kyeong-ho will join.
Jeong Jin-yeong who has appeared in three out of four films by the director will once again appear as Jung Man, the member of a traveling performer group. Jung Man is chased away to Vietnam after by loan sharks and creates a performing group and tries to recruit Soon Yi (Soo-ae) as his vocal playing a selfish and materialistic character.
Eom Tae-woong who has been praised for his roles in 'Resurrection' ("Revenge"), 'Devil' and the movie 'Family Ties' ("The Birth of a Family") will play the role of Sang Kil, Soon Yi's husband and will draw the life of a character who survives through a brutal war. Eom Tae-woong recently completed the filming of 'The Best Moment of Our Lives' and has also been cast for the omniversal film 'My Love' by Director Lee Han.

Art-house, indie, and foreign importer Sponge Entertainment will release "For Eternal Hearts", HWANG Kyoo-deok's supernatural melodrama that World Premiered as the curtain raiser for this year's Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (July 12-21). The film will have a limited local release, August 9th at Sponge's independent theater chain called Sponge House. It stars JEONG Jin-yeong ("The King and the Clown"), JEONG Kyeong-ho ("Gangster High") and KIM Min-seon ("Memento Mori").
Written by HWANG, the film is a tale within a tale, narrated by Su-young, a forty-ish college professor recounting to his class the memory of his first love when he was a college student. Witnessing her die in the turmoil of the pro-democracy movements of that era, Su-young becomes confused when she reappears mysteriously. What's in a name? For cars and designer clothes, it seems almost everything. But the correct name may be just as important for films as well. Sometimes producers end up spending years torn between what they want and what the public want ― although the latter usually wins for the chance of gaining a larger audience.
That's what happened to director and writer Byeon Seung-wook, who took five years to decide on the title of his new film, roughly translated as, "Stuff You Talk about When You Love". The movie ("Solace") opened in Korean cinemas last week.
Originally titled "Miyeol", meaning "Slight Fever", the story is about a petty bourgeois couple who go through the typical ups and downs of dating. They are an ordinary pair of the contemporary times, who are both rather skeptical and cynical about being in love.

This year's Pusan International Film Festival witnessed the opening of the inaugural Asian Film Market, a comprehensive film industry hub which covers many aspects of filmmaking from pre-sales, sales, and financing to production and post facilities as well as a casting network for up-and-coming stars.
In terms of deal-making, sales companies reported that not many deals were signed, however agreements and project advancement took place. The absence of many European buyers due largely to the opening of the Rome International Film Festival during the same period, was also noted, however those from Europe who did come had first pick and were pleased with their findings.
Among Korean deals made, CJ's martial arts fantasy The Restless and box office record-breaker The Host were bought from Cineclick Asia by Singapore's Queen Imperial for rights in Indonesia's growing market. The 11th edition of the Pusan International Film Festival drew attention for its various industry sidebars and other events, but those festival attendees who focused on the program itself declared it to be a good year for new Korean films.
Independent filmmakers in particular turned out a large number of interesting projects, which look sure to turn up at other major international festivals in the coming months. Some examples include "No Regret", the feature debut of acclaimed indie director LEE SONG-Hee-il, about a male escort who becomes romantically involved with a rich man. Apart from the critical praise it earned, international rights to the film was also picked up by Fortissimo – one of the arthouse world's most famous sales companies.
