'Bingwoo - Ice Rain' starring Song Seung-heon, was sold out in just three minutes (Source)

As Korean movie 'Bingwoo - Ice Rain' starring Song Seung-heon, was sold out in just three minutes after its advance sale began, Song Seung-heon's popularity don't get cool in Japan.

Movie 'Bingwoo - Ice Rain' is a participation film of 'The Hanryu Cinema Festival 2005'. Japanese newspapers reported that Korean movie 'Bingwoo' starring Seung-heon Song, was sold out in just three minutes after its advance ticket began.

This is a story of lost love, a common theme for Korean movies and TV dramas. Most of the story is told in a series of flashbacks from the alternating perspectives of the two main characters.

One is a mountaineer with a day job that just isn't as fulfilling as climbing mountains, which is his true love. The other is a college student who plays baseball and hates the idea of climbing mountains.

`Ghost' Adds Little to High School Horror (Source)

After reaching the top of the box office last year with the romantic comedy hit "Tongapnaegi Kwawehagi (An Extra Class)", actress Kim Ha-neul got a frostier reception earlier this year from audiences with the ice thriller "Bingu (Ice Rain)". Kim now returns to the screen with "Ryung (The Ghost - Dead Friend)", one of a handful of teenage horror tales to hit theaters this summer.

"Ghost" is a bit off the beaten path for an actress who is usually found in romantic roles in comedies and dramas. Kim stars as Ji-won, a college student who suffers from amnesia; she can't remember anything about her past, and frightening dreams and a vague association to water are all that remain of her identity. Gradually, she discovers that something happened to her in high school, which becomes clearer as members of the high school clique she supposedly hung out with wind up dead.

Woo-sung just joined Joong-hyun and his friends' journey to climb Mt. Asiaq of Alaska. However, a raging snowstorm was waiting for them descending from the summit and it isolates Woo-sung and Joong-hyun in an icy cave.

To stay awakened, Joong-hyun whose leg is severely wounded starts his story and they get stunned realizing that between their two stories there was one woman, Kyung-min.

The first time mountain drama of Korea, has become a hot issue for its 2-year long pre-production, splendid Canadian rocky shooting and the CG of high technology. A distinct narrative in which axes of two different times of past and present intersect each other, is a compelling love story.
