The long stagnation in music industry and the introduction of a new concept of "multi-entertainer" increased the demand for multi-talented stars who are talented in not only singing but dancing and acting as well. At a recent film award ceremony, Han Ye-seul made a small scene. While singing a song on the stage in a tubetop dress, her innerwear came into view for a moment, but there's no going back since it was a live broadcast.

YOO Ha and Jo In-seong Team-up Again

Acclaimed director YOO Ha's next film has been revealed as a historical film and he has again chosen Jo In-seong to be his leading man, Jo will play a bi-sexual warrior in the ancient Korean kingdom Goryeo. However, YOO pronounced that the story will concentrate on the homosexual relationship when he described the film as a "love story between men".

Reportedly, YOO is in the writing stage and no further information has been disclosed about the project, so far. Jo did motivate his choice when he said that he simply wanted to work with YOO again and that he was aboard even before he knew what YOO's next film would be about.

YOO and Jo were both praised for their collaboration on last year's "A Dirty Carnival". The film was part of a greater movement in recent Korean cinema, which juxtaposes gangster life against family life. Jo to Appear in Epic Movie

Korea's heartthrob Jo In-seong will join hands once again with director Yoo Ha in an epic movie set during the Goryeo Kingdom (918-1392). The movie has yet to be titled, but will be produced by Opus Pictures and makes a fresh attempt at dealing with homosexual love. Jo and Yoo last worked together in 2006 "A Dirty Carnival", which won Jo the lead male actor award at the 2006 Korea Film Awards.

In the movie, Jo will appear as a Goryeo warrior, balancing a romance between both a male and female counterpart, but Yoo clearly stated the movie as "a love story between men", Yonhap News Agency reported. The scenario will be completed around the end of September, while other cast members have yet to be decided on.

43rd Crowns King and the Clown

The 43rd annual Grand Bell Awards ceremony, held July 21st at the COEX Convention Hall in southern Seoul, presented its top prize for Best Film to The King and the Clown as indeed almost everyone expected. The film grew into a colossal local hit when it was released in December of last year, attracting more than 12.3 million movie-goers to become the highest-grossing Korean film of all time. It was nominated in a record 15 categories, and took home seven awards, including Best Director, Best Actor and Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography, and Best Script.

Kam Woo-seong won the Best Actor award for his lead role as Jang-saeng, an itinerant jester who ends up performing, along with his counter-part Konggil, for a slightly demented King in this Joseon-period-drama. KARM, 36, debuted in television in 1990 with the drama A Paradise of Our Own and made his film debut as the lead in Marriage is a Crazy Thing opposite UHM Jung-hwa.
