The Christmas period has many seasonal expectations, one of them being snow. Following the anticipation, both for the television screen and winter, SBS will start airing its new drama "Will It Snow for Christmas?" Dec. 2.
The storyline of the new soap is the usual boy-meets-girl scenario, but boasts a lovely couple and some of the best makers of dramas in the business.
The handsome Cha Kang-jin, played by actor Ko Soo, leads a tough life, knowing that the only way for him to escape the dark shadows of his childhood is to become the best at everything he does, from fighting to studying. The quiet Kang-jin meets Han Ji-wan, played by Han Ye-seul, and discovers that the world is actually a warm, caring place. When Ji-wan leaves her hometown and Kang-jin after her brother's death from an accident, the heartbroken Kang-jin realizes how much he loved her and embarks on a lonely journey to win her back.

At the 31st Golden cinematography awards show, directors of photography awarded Heo Jin-ho's "Happiness" the Grand prize. The drama about a romance between seriously ill patients in a hospital stars IM Soo-jeong and HWANG Jeong-min.
PARK Jin-hee was voted Best actress and HA Jeong-woo Best actor. PARK received the recognition for her role in "Shadows in the Palace" and HA for his dark role in "The Chaser".
"The Chaser" received another award in the form of Best new director nod for NA Hong-jin. Best new actor award is shared by JIN Goo ("Epitaph") and Daniel Henney ("My Father"). The female equivalent went to HAN Ye-seul ("Miss Gold Digger") and LEE Yeon-hee ("M").
The popularity awards were won by JEONG Jin-yeong and Soo-ae.

Actor Ha Jeong-woo of "The Chaser" and actress Park Jin-hee of "Shadows in the Palace" were awarded the best performers of the year at the 31st Golden Cinematography Awards held Tuesday evening. Recipients of the Golden Cinematography Awards are selected by directors of photography.
Other winners included Jeong Jin-yeong and Soo-ae, who won the most popular actor and actress awards. The new actor award was shared by Daniel Henney of "My Father" and Jin Goo of "Epitaph". Two actresses were named the year's best new actress – Han Ye-seul of "Miss Gold Digger" and Lee Yeon-hee of "M".
The Grand Prize was awarded to Life Film's "Happiness", a melodramatic tearjerker starring Hwang Jeong-min and Im Soo-jeong. Director Na Hong-jin was again applauded for his work in "The Chaser" with another best new director's award.

Actress Han Ye-seul has been nomitated for 'New Movie Star Award' for her film "Miss Gold Digger" this coming 4th. She has been awarded for this film with the same award for the last 3 film festivals this year!
If she is really awarded the same award for "Korean Grand Film Awards Festival" then she will be the first and only actress to receive all 4!
At the "Blue Dragon Film Festiva" she said that she feels like she has received the heavens and that rather than her popularity reaching the heavens she wants her acting skills to be deeply rooted in her life. ##
Definitely, she is trying harder as an actress not to be swayed by her popularity she receives as a model or actress with only the great looks.

| Forever Wins Korea's Top Blue Dragon (Source) |

South Korea's leading national film awards ceremony, the 29th Blue Dragon Awards, handed out its top prize of Best Picture to hit sports drama "Forever the Moment", by woman director LIM Soon-rye. Starring MOON So-ri, the film, a true story about Korea's women's handball Olympic team, was 2008's first local box office success.
Dominating the awards ceremony, held Nov. 20 in Yeoido, Seoul, was KIM Ji-woon's kimchi western, "The Good, The Bad, The Weird", which picked up 4 prizes including Best Cinematography, Best Director, and Best Art Direction. The 1930s Manchuria set film was the year's highest grossing box office performer thus also picking up the Maximum Audience Award.
The Best Actor nod went to KIM Yoon-seok as the weathered ex-cop in NA Hong-jin's "The Chaser". SON Ye-jin captured the Best Actress prize for her lead in the comedy-drama "My Wife Got Married".
