After two years, KIM Rae-won returns to the big screen with the film "Insadong Scandal". Insadong (officially Insa-dong gil (street)) is a famous street in Northern Seoul which attracts a wide variety of domestic and international tourists, traditional food and tea lovers, and art connoisseurs.
KIM is cast to play Korea's leading art restaurateur, a highly skilled and intelligent but cold person. The plot deals with a conspiracy to let a famous Joseon era painting disappear.The film is rumoured to bring non-mainstream art to the public's attention.
"Insadong Scandal" will start filming in October. All the attention is centred around KIM's casting and return to the silver screen without information about the director or other cast members.

Popular Korean actor KIM Rae-won, 26, is set to seduce Japanese audiences this Spring with his lead role in Japanese director Hayato Kawai's Flower Shadow, a romantic drama of international love.
Actor KIM is a familiar heartthrob in Korea, starring in comedies such as "Mister Socrates" (2005) and "My Little Bride" (2004) as well as hit TV series "Cat on the Roof" (2003) and the upcoming series "Gourmet" ("Sikgaek").
In Flower Shadow he plays an elementary school teacher who falls in love with a Korean-Japanese jewelry designer played by Mirai Yamamoto. Set in both Korea and Japan, the film also features main theme music by Korean R&B trio SG Wanne Be.
The film is the second to feature a Korean-Japanese romance theme with a Hallyu male lead, following last year's "Virgin Snow", starring LEE Joon-ki. The film is slated for release in Japan March 8.

Another Korean heartthrob, actor Kim Rae-won, 26, is stepping up his activities in Japan.
Kim stars in a Japanese movie named "Hanakage" (Flower Shadow) directed by Hayato Kawai.
He plays an elementary school teacher who falls in love with a Korean-Japanese jewelry designer played by Mirai Yamamoto. Filmed in both Korea and Japan, this movie depicts international love.
Kim debuted in MBC's teen drama "Me" (1996) and is known for his role in the TV romantic comedy "Cat on the Roof" (2003), in which late Jeong Da-bin starred as his counterpart. He also appeared in movies like "Mister Socrates" (2005) and "Sunflower" (2006).
He currently shoots Korean TV soap opera "Gourmet" ("Sikgaek") based on Heo Yeong-man's popular cartoon. "Sikgaek" will be aired in April on SBS.

Actor Yoon Tae-yeong, 32, the only son of Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Yoon Jong-yong, and actress Im Yoo-jin, 26, married yesterday, Valentine's Day.
The wedding ceremony took place at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul and was not open to the public.
Entertainer Kim Je-dong was the host of the ceremony, and singer Park Jung-hyun sang a song.
The wedding attracted the public's attention because it involved both celebrities and business.
Some 2,000 guests, including celebrities and businesspeople, attended the ceremony.
The couple met while costarring in the KBS drama "Above Green Field" in 2003.
In the drama, Yoon and Im played brother and sister. They became lovers in 2005 with the intention of getting married.

Kim joined the group of hallyu stars last year when his dramas "Cat on the Roof" and "Love Story in Harvard" were aired on Nihon TV and KNTV (a TV channel in Japan specializing in Korean programs), respectively. He is expected to enjoy rising popularity in Japan this year as well, because "Love Story in Harvard" will also air on Nihon TV in April.
