Pushing limits, celebrating team spirit and savoring that delicious victory _ or honorable loss _ the classic sports drama is programmed to grip viewers with an adrenaline rush. "Bronze Medalist", featuring weightlifting teenage girls, offers everything you expect from such a film, but also more.
South Korea is a country obsessed with first prizes, and Olympic silver and bronze medalists often hang their heads in shame for "letting down" fans. Last year's "Forever the Moment" spotlighted the women's handball team's memorable silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics, and "Bronze" is about another relatively unpopular sport, weightlifting, which was virtually ignored until the 2008 Beijing Olympics catapulted Jang Mi-ran to superstardom with a gold medal and three world records.

Jo An has been casted for the new movie "Bronze Medalist" which she has to gain 10kg to fit the role.
The film is about a regular high school student who challenges herself to become a weight lifter. The genre is a human drama from the original story of the Korean weight lifter Park Yeong-ja from year 2000.
Jo An is being a professional and serious actress in changing her body style to fit the character of a weight lifting champion.
Now she weighs 40kg, and the staff has asked her to gain weight to an overall weight of over 50kg.##

In celebration of the 16th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, the Second Korean Film Festival took place May 8-10 in Hanoi, drawing hordes of local fans. The pop culture exchange is expected to thrive even more with a possible joint project to build a huge studio in Vietnam as well as the establishment of a major Korean multiplex movie theater's first Vietnamese branch.
The three-day film festival featured five popular Korean movies: "Forever the Moment", based on the dramatic women's handball game at the 2004 Athens Olympics; "Marathon", a tearjerker about a disabled man championing marathons; "Hwangjin-y - Movie - 2007' starring hallyu star Song Hye-kyo as a ravishing Joseon (1392-1910)-era entertainer and artist; "Over the Rainbow", a melodrama starring top actors Lee Jeong-jae and Jang Jin-yeong; and "Cube".

Debuting director CHOI Jong-hyeon's "Little Prince" is a drama with a feel-good factor which unfolds at a quiet pace. TAK Jae-hoon portrays an alcoholic who is traumatised by the loss of his wife and son, and he is ridden with guilt since he wasn't much of a father or husband.
Through circumstances, the man comes into the life of a chronic ill little boy who was abandoned at an orphanage by his mother when she started a relationship with a new man. The man is reluctant, but after a few meetings, the kind and brave boy melts the man's heart. The little boy is played by KANG Soo-han.
Actress Jo An features as an energetic young woman who works at the orphanage. She has a close relationship with the boy. Jo-an previously acted in "Muoi : The Legend of a Portrait" and "Makeover Project" ("Go Go Sister"). TAK played in "Marrying the Mafia 3: Family Hustle" (""Marrying the Mafia III"").
