"Three Rivers", a new American TV drama starring heartthrob Daniel Henney, is set to air in the fall, according to the recently released CBS 2009-2010 primetime schedule.
The 29-year-old recently made his Hollywood debut in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" opposite Hugh Jackman, and had appeared in the pilot of Three Rivers.
In the upcoming medical drama about organ transplants, the Korean-American actor will play the role of Dr. David Lee, "a womanizing surgical resident who's broken as many hearts as he's replaced", according to a statement released by the broadcaster. His co-stars include Alex O'Loughlin ("Moonlight") and Katherine Moenning ("The L Word"), Julia Ormond ("The Curious Case of Benjamin Button").
The former model rose to stardom here through the TV soap "My Lovely Samsoon" ("My Name is Kim Sam-soon") and romantic comedy "Seducing Mr. Perfect", and received critical acclaim for the film "My Father".

Hollywood screen star Hugh Jackman and Korean-American heartthrob Daniel Henney will appear in a local matchmaking TV program, organizers of the SBS show "The Gold Miss Are Coming" said Monday. The two actors will be in town Thursday to promote the action film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in time for its release April 30.
After appearing at a press conference Friday morning, they will meet actress Yang Jeong-ah, 37, and the other members of "Gold Miss", a matchmaking program for eligible female celebrities. The group includes comedienne Shin Bong-seon and singer Jin Jae-young, among others. Two will have the opportunity to watch a movie with either Jackman or Henney.
The show will air on April 19.
Meanwhile, the "X-Men" stars will meet Korean fans on Friday evening. A performance will begin 7:30 p.m. at Cheonggye Plaza, downtown Seoul, and the red carpet ceremony will take place at 8:30.

At the 31st Golden cinematography awards show, directors of photography awarded Heo Jin-ho's "Happiness" the Grand prize. The drama about a romance between seriously ill patients in a hospital stars IM Soo-jeong and HWANG Jeong-min.
PARK Jin-hee was voted Best actress and HA Jeong-woo Best actor. PARK received the recognition for her role in "Shadows in the Palace" and HA for his dark role in "The Chaser".
"The Chaser" received another award in the form of Best new director nod for NA Hong-jin. Best new actor award is shared by JIN Goo ("Epitaph") and Daniel Henney ("My Father"). The female equivalent went to HAN Ye-seul ("Miss Gold Digger") and LEE Yeon-hee ("M").
The popularity awards were won by JEONG Jin-yeong and Soo-ae.

In the category of "most likely to succeed in Hollywood" among Korean actors, Daniel Henney has the advantage. Born to a British father and a Korean-American mother and raised in Michigan, the 29-year-old model-turned-actor has already appeared as Agent Zero in "X-men Origins: Wolverine", which will be released worldwide in the end of April next year.
In an interview on set in Sydney, Henney talked about his excitement about making a Hollywood debut using both Korean and English.
- How did you get cast?
"I was on holiday with my parents in my hometown in Michigan on New Year's Day. At the time, everything was kind of stagnant because of the strike of Hollywood writers. So I was very surprised when the casting director of the 'X-men: Wolverine' called me".
