A number of high-profile Korean features will have their World Premiere at the 14th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) including opening film "Good Morning President" by writer-director JANG Jin. It stars top Korean actor JANG Dong-gun, who is expected to greet the opening night crowd when the fest kick offs October 8 for a 9-day run.
Making it's Gala World Premiere is "The Fair Love" by director SHIN Yeon-shick, a drama starring veteran lead AHN SEONG-gi about an unstoppable romance between an old bachelor in his 50s and a college girl in her 20s. Also in the Gala program is "In My End Is My Beginning" by MIN Gyoo-dong, the director of "All for Love" ("My Lovely Week", 2005) and "Antique" (2008). The new film stars UHM Jung-hwa and KIM Hyo-jin and is an extension of MIN's contribution to the omnibus feature "Five Senses of Eros", released earlier this year.

A total of seven Korean films are selected to screen at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival, running February 5 -15 in the German capital. Korean films will dominate this year's Forum section. The sidebar consists of five Korean titles: "Land of Scarecrows", "Members of the Funeral", "My Dear Enemy", and "Treeless Mountain".
Recently announced was the addition of MIN Gyoo-dong's third feature "Antique", which will screen in the Culinary Cinema section. MIN, who debuted with the critically praised horror "Memento Mori" (1999) and the 2005 hit "All for Love" ("My Lovely Week"), studied film in France. His latest feature revolves around four handsome young men and a cake-shop.

YOO Ha's new project "A Frozen Flower" and MIN Gyoo-dong's "Antique" are part of the Tokyo Project Gathering (TPG), a financing and co-production market. YOO teamed-up with "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" producer LEE Tae-hoon. MIN's "Antique" is produced by Eugene LEE and MIN Jin-soo, Eugene LEE produced "A Bittersweet Life".
Director YOO is acclaimed for his crime films Spirit of Jeet Keun Do: "Once Upon a Time in Highschool" and "A Dirty Carnival". Recently, his new project was revealed to be a homosexual film in a historical setting. Actor JO In-seong is already attached to the project, he is to play a bi-sexual warrior.
MIN directed a big assemble cast in "All For Love" ("My Lovely Week"), a romantic comedy which cast includes HA Ji-won, UHM Jung-hwa, IM Chang-jeong and HWANG Jeong-min.

Hwang Jeong-min, famous movie star, said, "I look like a person from the countryside. I can't change it because was born this way. I am the last person to be perfect. I am not good at doing household chores. I am not a good father. I feel uneasy when I go to a district office for documents. But I think it is better to live as an imperfect but approachable person than to live as a snobbish celebrity".
What is it like to wait for the release of your movie after shooting it?
"I always want to think, 'I did my best. I am not anxious', but I actually do the opposite. But I end up feeling edgy, worrying about the response of moviegoers. And since 'psychopath' is my first horror movie, I am even more anxious", Hwang replied.
