Kim Yoo-jeong, who is called the troika of child stars with Seo Sin-ae and Kim Hyeong-ki, is the new talent of 2008.

Hwang Jeong-min, famous movie star, said, "I look like a person from the countryside. I can't change it because was born this way. I am the last person to be perfect. I am not good at doing household chores. I am not a good father. I feel uneasy when I go to a district office for documents. The Korean Film Festival will be held in Beijing and Shanghai from Friday through Sunday, after the CJ China Film Festival was held in the two biggest Korean cities of Seoul and Busan last month. The festivals are expected to facilitate exchange between the Korean and Chinese film industries.

The Korean Film Festival will focus on highlighting diversity in Korean movies, while the Chinese Film Festival put an emphasis on introducing works by new-generation Chinese directors.

Ten movies to be shown at the festival are: "My Boss, My Teacher", "The Big Scene", "You Are My Sunshine", "All for Love" ("My Lovely Week"), "A Moment to Remember", "My Brother", "Arahan", " The Memories of Murder", "The Classic", and "Musa - The Warrior".

Director Kim Seong-soo of "The Restless" and actor Jeong Woo-seong and actress Kim Tae-hee, who starred in the movie, will serve as the festival's promotional ambassadors. The venues are CGV Multiplex Cinema in Shanghai and Stellar Cinema City and Wangf...

A record 11 Korean features will be shown in the official selection of this years 9th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) to take place June 17th to the 25th. Among them PARK Jin-pyo's 2005 film You Are My Sunshine will run in the official competition section for the Jin Jue Award. Another Korean film, Jo Chang-ho's The Peter Pan Formula has been selected as a candidate for the Asian New Talent Award.

Two Korean directors KWAK Gyeong-Taek ("Friend", "Typhoon") and BONG Joon-ho ("The Host", "Memories of Murder") have been invited to sit on the Jin Jue Award jury which will this year be presided over by French director Luc Besson. Other directors on the jury include Stanly Kwan and Gabriella Salvatores.
