By chance, she falls into a mysterious world
Na-young works at a post office and is sick and tired of being around her shamefully unyielding mother and her pushover father who's excessively nice. The only thing that she can look forward to is her trip abroad in a few days. But one day, her father leaves home without any notice. Her mother doesn't care what happens to him and doesn't care to look for him. Na-young has no choice but to give up her dream trip abroad and to search for her father instead. Once she arrives at her parents' hometown, Na-young is shocked to meet someone she'd never expect, even in her dreams.

She meets her 20-year old mother
The person who appears before Na-young is her 20-year old mother, Yeon-soon, who looks just like Na-young. The world that Na-young falls into is the time and place her mother lived in 30 years ago. Yeon-soon thinks of her future daughter, Na-young, as her friend and treats her very nice. Na-young is shocked over her mother's pure and innocent appearance, which is totally different from what her mother will be years later. Na-young so happens to live there with her mother, Yeon-soon, and soon after she discovers that her mother has an unrequited love for a young postman. The postman, who rides a bicycle with his glittering eyes, is none other than her father Jin-kook

After falling into this mysterious world, Na-young gets tangled up in the middle of the love that unfolds between her mother and father.

Dark Horse Korean Hit at the Gate in the U.S. LOS ANGELES, CA (April 9, 2012) – CJ Entertainment America is launching the moody Korean thriller "Helpless" on April 20, 2012 as an exclusive engagement for Los Angeles at the CGV Cinemas, with national dates expected for early May. The film was a critical darling and unexpected box office champion for two consecutive weeks when it was released in Korea earlier this year. - Russell Edwards, Variety "...The film never ceases to compel. As the layers of deceit are peeled back, Byeon seems in complete command of her material. A key demonstration of her narrative dexterity is the way she flaunts an audacious 'Chinatown'-like clue to the missing woman's whereabouts without pre-empting the climax",...More

[Second in a two-part series] The island's windswept coasts, volcanic formations and craggy peaks have served as the setting for fictional romances conjured by dramas and films. Subjicoji The dramatic scenery on Jeju Island has long inspired romance among Koreans, so it's no wonder the country's biggest island is also its most popular honeymoon destination. But the island's windswept coasts, volcanic formations and craggy mountain peaks have also served as the setting for the fictional romances conjured by television dramas, movies and commercials. These programs have in turn sparked a cottage industry based around the drama destinations, especially after the popular 2002 drama "Winter Sonata" proved that tourists were keen to visit the locations where it was filmed. It has been about a decade since that drama ended, but Nami Island, its main location, still draws a throng of visitors year round. The dramas and films featuring Jeju have had a similar effect on its tourism industry,...More
