Korean actress Han Ji-hye [Yedang Entertainment]
Korean actress Han Ji-hye has been tapped to play the lead female role in a new Chinese drama, according to her agency Yedang Entertainment on Wednesday.
Han will play the role of Chun Chae-hee, a young woman with a strong passion for embroidery in search of her mother, in the 26-part drama to be helmed by top Chinese director Huang Jianzhong of "As You Wish" and "Good Woman".##

Actor and singer Lee Dong-geon will hold a large-scale Christmas party in Japan where he will meet his fans.
Lee's official Japanese fan club announced it will open the "2008 Christmas Party 2008" in Odaiba, Tokyo on December 22. At the party, the popular actor and singer will perform Christmas carols as a gift for his fans. He will also take pictures with all the audience members.
Lee became popular in Japan through high-profile TV dramas including "Lovers in Paris" and "My Boyfriend is Type-B". He celebrates his tenth anniversary since his debut as a singer this year.

Lee Dong-geon, most widely known through the hit drama, "Lovers in Paris" is releasing his new album "My Biography".
First introduced in Japan last June, it is finally hitting the stores in Korea.## Lee has entered the entertainment industries in 1998 as an artist when he was a high school student. He released two albums then made his way as an actor.
The album contains 14 songs, 6 in Korean, 6 in Japanese, and 2 instrumental.
Lee starred in the movie "Changing Partners" "My boyfriend is type-B" and drama "Let's go to school, Sang-doo". Lee will have his concert in Japan this 22nd.

Top stars Lee Hyo-lee and Lee Dong-geon will be visiting Japan next month to promote their SBS one act play drama "If in Love... Like Them".
A well-known website in Japan, Excite Japan, will celebrate the opening of the new Korean entertainment specialty site called "Hanryu Now!" which opened on the 15th. In honor of the opening, it will broadcast on June 17th and 24th through the Fuji TV channel 721 the drama "If in Love... Like Them". There will be a large-scale promotion event on June 4th at Studio Coast in Tokyo.
The 130 minute one act drama, "If in Love... Like Them", is divided into four parts of 45 minutes each, and will broadcast two episodes per day with Japanese subtitles. It is planned to air on the 18th and the 25th.

A record 11 Korean features will be shown in the official selection of this years 9th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) to take place June 17th to the 25th. Among them PARK Jin-pyo's 2005 film You Are My Sunshine will run in the official competition section for the Jin Jue Award. Another Korean film, Jo Chang-ho's The Peter Pan Formula has been selected as a candidate for the Asian New Talent Award.
Two Korean directors KWAK Gyeong-Taek ("Friend", "Typhoon") and BONG Joon-ho ("The Host", "Memories of Murder") have been invited to sit on the Jin Jue Award jury which will this year be presided over by French director Luc Besson. Other directors on the jury include Stanly Kwan and Gabriella Salvatores.
