Ryoo Seung-beom and Kong Hyo-jin are going to co-starring in "Dajjimawa Lee" (Director Ryoo Seung-wan/ Production agency: Owe-yoo-nae-kang). The possibility of the formal couple's reunion had been suggested ever since.

The Ryoo Brothers' (director Ryoo Seung-wan and actor Ryoo Seung-beom) new film, "Dajjimawa Lee" is already at the center of attention. It is a longer version of its shorter version of (35 min long) which was made in 2000 and became a sensational hit in the internet. The sole purpose of the shorter version was to screening in the internet. Lim Won-hee, who starred in the shorter version, is once again appearing in the longer version of "Dajjimawa Lee" with Ryoo Seung-beom and Kong Hyo-jin.

Ryoo Seung-beom and Kong Hyo-jin began their relationship when they co-starred in SBS mini-series "Beautiful days" in 2001 and they co-starred in the film "No manners" once again in 2002. Even after they broke up, they acted a couple in the film "The Birth of a Family" (2006). ...

Love from the past tends to feel more pure, innocent and beautiful than it was in reality because of time. Time erases details, and sifts out any chance that you can damage the memory, especially if it was a good one.

New melodrama "Once in a Summer (Ku Hae Yorum)" tactfully takes advantage of that tendency. It tells of a couple's love story that is inextricably intermingled with turbulent modern history. The result is that the couple's love appears rather pathetic and the hardships that they go through are felt severely.

Directed by Jo Geun-sik, director of the 2002 hit comedy "Conduct Zero" ("No Manners"), the melodrama is set in 1969. It's the year when man walked on the moon for the first time, but a lot of citizens and university students here fought against the dictatorship of then-President Park Chung-hee and anti-communist movements victimized innocent lives.

The year 2006 saw Korean cinema enjoy less of a spotlight at Cannes than in 2005 -- when a record seven films screened at the event -- or in 2004, when PARK Chan-wook's Old Boy was awarded the Grand Prix. Nonetheless, the dynamism of the Korean film industry could be felt in the screening of films outside the main competition, in deals concluded at the Cannes market, and in the presence of Korean filmmakers on the Croisette, campaigning on behalf of Korea's Screen Quota system. As always, KOFIC was also present at the festival to operate the Korea Pavillion and to promote Korean cinema to the world film community.

A total of three Korean films screened at Cannes this year: YOON Jong-bin's student feature The Unforgiven (which won multiple awards at Pusan in 2005) in the Un Certain Regard section; Eom Hye-jeong's award-winning short Home "Sweet Home" in the International Critics Week; and the world premiere of BONG Joon-ho's monster movie The Host in the Directors Fortnight section.

Top actor Lee Byeong-heon will act in a new film entitled "A Summer's Tale".

Lee has recently agreed to act in the new melodramatic picture to be directed by Cho Geun-sik, the director of the film "No Manners" (2002), and produced by KM Culture. In "A Summer's Tale", Lee will play the lead character, Yoon Suk-young. It has been two years since Lee appeared in his last melodramatic movie, "Everybody Has Secrets" (2004).

"A Summer's Tale" portrays a story about a renowned old professor named Yoon who recalls times from his past and eventually reunites with his first lover. The film used a long-running program on KBS TV, "Love in TV", as its key motif.

The public's attention has been drawn to this film, as Lee will first play a young college student in his 20s and then a distinguished old professor in his 60s later in the movie.

CHINAN, North Cholla Province - An upcoming film "Ssunday Seoul" tells of a series of strange and mysterious stories. However, for the makers of the movie, the strangeness is all in a day's work - literally.

The film crew, staff, marketing team and the director of the film agreed not to receive any wages while the film is being made. Instead of a salary, they will get a share of the profits after its release.
