When people make mention of actress Kim Yoon-jin, the adjectives attractive, intelligent and charismatic often pop up in the text.
Kim, who is known outside of Korea as Sun Kwon on the U.S. television drama "Lost", has built her career around characters who also possess these qualities.
Now, Kim is hoping to add a new dimension to her image with a new role in the Korean film "Harmony", which was released yesterday.
In the film she plays Jeong-hye, who is given a 10-year prison term for killing her abusive husband. Shortly after she is put in jail, Jeong-hye gives birth to a child. Eighteen months after that she will have to give up her child for adoption, in accordance with Korean law. In the meantime, Jeong-hye organizes a choir to deal with the hardships she is facing and through it she is offered the possibility of earning a special one-day leave to see her son.

Things are only getting better for Korea's top actor Lee Byeong-heon, age 39. Nearly two decades after his first debut in 1991, he's become one of the most romantic heroes of Korean soap operas, a ruthless killer in numerous movies and overall, a major heartthrob all across Asia.
The year 2009 was especially rewarding for him both at home and abroad, with his first Hollywood debut "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra" hitting high at the box office and his spy thriller drama "Iris" at home earning him a grand prize at the 2009 KBS Acting Awards.
CNN Talk Asia just uploaded video footage of its previous interview with Lee on Wednesday (Jan. 20). The footage goes back to Lee on the red carpet last October at the Pusan International Film Festival as he talked about his acting career, his experience with dramas and movies and his future plans after his successful debut in Hollywood.

Top Korean actor Lee Byeong-heon has joined the cast of a new thriller film by famed director Kim Ji-woon, according to Lee's agency BH Entertainment on Thursday.
An official at BH explained that Lee is set to star in the film -- titled "I Saw The Devil" -- although the actor has not finished signing the contract as of yet.##
Famed actor Choi Min-sik of Cannes award-winning director Park Chan-wook's film "Old Boy" had already confirmed his appearance in the movie, set to start filming next month.

Top star, Lee Byeong-heon is in the new Director Kim Ji-woon's film, "Saw the Devil".
Lee's agency, BH Entertainment confirmed through that phone that he is in this movie but it has not been written in papers, yet.
He is in this director's film for the third time after ##"A Bittersweet Life" and "The Good, the Bad, the Weird".
"Saw the Devil" is about a psychopath serial killer who is chased by a man seeking revenge because he lost his lover. Lee is the man who lost his girlfriend.
The costar will be Choi Min-sik who will be the vicious killer. He had been in the film, "Old Boy".

Actor Lee Byeong-heon is expected to appear on CNN's "Talk Asia" program next week, where he is expected to talk about his recent success on the small screen in Korea and his foray onto the big screen in Hollywood.
Last year, Lee starred as Storm Shadow in Stephen Sommers' action flick "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" and played the lead character in the KBS television drama "Iris".
Iris, which will have its season finale on Dec. 17, was a hit here and topped the ratings with an audience share of close to 40 percent. It will be shown in seven Asian countries including Japan, where Lee has a legion of fans.
