Director KIM Yong-gyoon cast Soo-ae as Chosun era queen Myeong-seong in his period drama "The Sword With No Name". Jo Seung-woo will play the queen's bodyguard.
The film is a combination of action, drama, and romance. The film is scheduled to enter Korean cinemas in September this year.
Soo-ae lead the cast of LEE Joon-ik's "Sunny" and starred alongside LEE Byeong-heon in "Once in a Summer". Jo played the lead in box office hit "Tazza: The High Rollers" ("The War of Flower") and played a mentally challenged man in "Marathon". KIM previously directed horror film "Red Shoes" and "Wanee and Junah".

| Actor Lee Byeong-heon, who is almost 40, is a seasoned actor in the Korean film industry. He debuted in 1992 in the TV drama "Tomorrow Love". In the 1999 movie "The Harmonium In My Memory" Lee played a teacher who captivated the heart of a young woman from a rural area. And in the 2000 hit "Joint Security Area", he perfectly portrayed a South Korean soldier who pleads for help when he steps on a mine.
The turning point in Lee's life came in 2005 with director Kim Ji-woon's movie "A Bittersweet Life". Lee easily portrayed difficult action scenes and impressed viewers with his acting talent.
In the 2006 movie "Once In A Summer" Lee appeared opposite Soo-ae, and last year he stunned everyone by playing a gangster in "The Good, The Bad, The Weird".

Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF)'s fourth Premiere Star Summit event selected Soo-ae ("Sunny") as the female Rising Star and HA Jeong-woo ("The Chaser") received the male Rising Star award. "Seven Days" director WON Sin-yeon took home the Rising Star award in the director category.
JEONG Kyeong-ho won the best actor nod for "Sunny". JEONG Ryeo-won ("2 Faces of My Girlfriend") picked up the best actress award in the presence of major stars, including KIM Ji-woon, LEE Byeong-heon, and JEONG Woo-seong, and international stars Li Xioalu and Fan Wing.
HA cemented his name internationally through highly praised independent films which were selected throughout the world by film festivals. His breakthrough was "The Unforgiven" and he topped the box office this year with the sleeper hit "The Chaser", another film coveted by global film festivals.

Japan's largest commercial satellite channel Sky Perfect TV will hold a two-month-long special event during which it will feature films and dramas starring Korean actor Lee Byeong-heon. The event will begin this month.
Prior to the event launch, Sky Perfect TV produced and aired four different versions of a TV ad promoting the event. One of Suncheon's claims to fame is a set used for the filming of the drama "Love and Ambition", a soap opera that ran on SBS in 2006. As a matter of fact, the set has been labeled the "Love and Ambition Set" on some signs around town. I also used to be able to visit and have it nearly all to myself. But that may change soon as officials in the South Jeolla provincial city are expecting business to pick up.
The local government expects not only to increase tourism there but also to attract more productions through a "Suncheon Familiarization Tour" that will acquaint filmmakers and writers with not only the set but other local attractions as well.
The city has been promoting the set more heavily in recent weeks, featuring it more prominently on the Suncheon Web site and posting larger signs around town. This comes after other dramas and movies have used it recently to replicate older authentic scenes that are not so commonly found these day... |More
