Kim Yoo-jeong, who is called the troika of child stars with Seo Sin-ae and Kim Hyeong-ki, is the new talent of 2008.

Kim Yoo-jeong is more active this year, and she played Mi-jin's missing daughter Eun-ji in the movie "The Chaser", which had over 5 million viewers. She understood her mom's sadness and pain. Time to check on the week's new films.
We have a detective story that plays mind games, a Grimm Brother's fairy tale and even a classic Hollywood style gangster movie.

"Rainbow Eyes", it's a mystery thriller which will keep you on the edge.
Like the American film "The Usual Suspects", the killer is revealed at the end after many plot twists.
Three consecutive murder cases lead to one suspect, who was brutally assaulted 10 years ago, while serving in the army, by the murdered men.
Reasons lead to revenge but the killer has vanished and his only sister is in a mental hospital.
The story digs into the mind of the serial killer and for the lead detective played by Kim Kang-woo finding him means removing his numerous masks.
This movie takes ideas from the 19th century children's fairytale "Hansel and Gretel".
The original story by the Grimm Brothers tells a story of two abandoned children in the midst of famine stricken Europe.

"Enjoy One's Calling" is the phrase written on actor Kim Kang-woo's cell phone. "Talented people cannot beat people who know how to enjoy life. I went through hard times when I first started acting. But one day, I realized I was doing something I wanted to do and earning money for it. The point is to take pleasure in what I do ― acting", Kim said in an interview with The Korea Times at a cafe in Samcheong-dong in Seoul, Monday.

Kim, 29, debuted through "The Coast Guard" (2002), directed by Kim Ki-duk, when he was a senior at Chung-Ang University. "The only role I could get without any acting experience was a soldier", said Kim.

He was then noticed when he played Mu-cheol in the MBC drama "Breathless" (2003) and starred in SBS's "Three Leafed Clover" (2005). Kim has been known as "Mr. Right" since then for the honest and diligent characters he played. "It's funny. I didn't know that I had that kind of sincere image in me", he said.

Yang Yoon-ho, director of the mystery thriller "Rainbow Eyes" (Gamyeon), seemed as confident about his filmmaking technique as ever. But he was not so sure about the film's commercial potential.

"When I saw the screenplay for the first time, I was deeply drawn to the great storyline, but at the same time I instantly knew that it's not going to be a box-office hit here", Yang told reporters at a press preview held in downtown Seoul on Monday.

But it may be too early for such pessimism. After all, Kim Kang-woo, a talented award-winning star, has taken the title role for "Rainbow Eyes", to be released here on Dec. 27.

Kim played a central character in "Le Grand Chef", which became the biggest hit in the second half of this year, and he also won the best actor award at the 25th Torino Film Festival, adding much-needed credentials to his fledgling acting career.

KIM Kang-woo received the Best Actor Award at the 25th Torino Film Festival for his acting in "The Railroad". Director PARK Heung-shik's film also won the Fipresci Award.

The Railroad premiered successfully in 2006 at the Pusan International Film Festival in the New Current section and enjoyed a limited release in Korean cinemas around May 2007. "The Railroad" is PARK's second feature film and was supported by the 2005 KOFIC Production Support for Low-budget Films.

KIM plays a man whose path crosses a woman portrayed by SON Tae-yeong. Both happened to be on the same train and end up together at the last stop before the North-South Korean border.

KIM is quickly rising to stardom this year because of the box office hit "Le Grand Chef" and is in the spotlight again because of the upcoming film "Rainbow Eyes". SON featured in the assembly cast of "Sad Movie" and numerous television dramas.
