Actress Kim Yeon-joo, 29, a former Miss Korea, will get married to an unidentified businessman at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28.

Kim and the would-be-husband met at the end of last year following a friend's introduction, according to Kim's agency.

She started her entertainment career after winning first place at the beauty pageant in 1999 as a college student.

Lawyers vie for top spot in drama line-up

Though the tagline for MBC's new Wednesday and Thursday night miniseries "The Lawyers of The Great Republic Korea" is "Love versus money", with two superhero dramas out right now, it should really read, "superheroes versus lawyers".

Following on the heels of the abysmal drama on reporters, "Spotlight", which ended on a sour note last Thursday, this romantic comedy will need more than a few lawyers to compete SBS' with "Iljimae".

The star power of Lee Joon-ki as a Joseon Dynasty superhero in the hit SBS drama has swept viewer ratings nationwide. And celebrities Lee Seong-jae and Lee Soo-kyeong will need to showcase some stellar acting and flawless comic timing in order to nab audiences in "Daehanminguk Byeonhosa" ("The Lawyers of The Great Republic Korea").

"I have never chosen the drama I would act, but the right cast and script in that drama", said Lee Seong-jae, who this time will star in a drama about honest lawyer Roh Yoon-jae, who was adopted to Canada. Roh Yoon-jae will be involved in an eternal triangle of star singer Yoo Hee-ran (Kim Min-jeong), her manager Kang San-ho (Eom Tae-woong) and himself. Kang approaches Roh, claiming he is Roh's brother.
