  • Hong Sang-soo's jolliness peaks in "Ha Ha Ha" - Part 2

    2010/04/26, Source,
Actresses Moon So-ri and Ye Ji-won [Chae Ki-won/10Asia] 10: Yoo Joon-sang, you stood out the most [in the film] with your cuteness. The most memorable scene was when sobbed while holding the dog. Yoo Joon-sang (Yoo): The director was writing the script for the film when this dog walked past him and that's when he decided to use the dog. (laugh) I had so much fun filming that scene because earlier in the afternoon the director and I had a drink in the middle of the day. When I think about it now, I wonder whether I have ever done that before and how I actually pulled it off. It was fun because things I had never imagined would come out, did it was interesting to see how everything else surrounding that shoot was just falling into place. It was also a lot of fun because of the unexpected situations that arose during the filming. There was a blooper when I fell down some stairs during shoot and the next day the director took me to the oriental medical clinic to get acupuncture for my hip but that scene was added to the movie too,...More

DIE HARD in a tornado by Sk00tie

must confess I have extreme feelings about this one - both negative and positive.
Positive ofcourse stands for amazing Jang Dong-Gun - this doesn't need much of explanation I assume. The pictures and score, scenography and montage does the rest.

Unfortunaletty the whole hollocaust-vengeance plot didn't really stroke me and reminded me too much of Die Hard trilogy, mad terrorist set to annihillate the world because once he was hurt, so sad...Anyways! That doesn't change the fact of the real plastic input and actors' effort in the whole project - this title is definitelly worth seeing too! But don't expect much from the script.

I tend to suspect some more original flicks in asian cinematography - this branch shows us how much is there to seek more that the european / u.s. movie industry fears to stand for.

Taephoong only closes a bit to Brucheimers blockbusters, fortunatelly filling it with more asian emotions and expressions, picture halts and wonderful score. I was expecting this movie for months but I must confess it just couldn't whack me off my feet. It is "only" very good with the performance and the whole production measures undertook to make it a great plastic action story, I think it's enough...

Nice thriller with a human touch. by brooks

yphoon is a great globe trotting race against the clock thriller where in a lot of S. Korean movies you get to actually see both sides of the issues. By that i mean why the bad guy, played by Jang Dong gun, Actually gets to the point of where he is at. And why the good guy gets to where he is. Though slightly melodramatic in some parts the movie is extremly entertaining.
