The singer entered boot camp in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province for basic combat training.

Apparently hoping to make a low-profile start to his military service, Cho Kyuhyun opted not to hold a press event or any official farewell to fans, but that didn't keep fans and reporters from gathering outside the entrance to the facility.

Cho Kyuhyun was driven directly into the camp, and did not get out of his car.

After undergoing five weeks of basic combat training, he will be given a public-sector desk job to fulfill his military service instead of more strenuous duties due to serious injuries he suffered in a car accident in 2007.
