LEE Chang-dong to reveal his project at PIFF

The Pusan International Film Festival(PIFF) announced the selected projects of the 11th Pusan Promotion Plan(PPP 2008). Renowned director Lee Chang-dong is among them to unveil his next project at this year's PIFF. Unlike the other participants of PPP 2008, Lee Chang-dong's fifth has no title as yet and is listed as Lee Chang-dong Project.

Alongside master director Lee Chang-dong, exciting rookie filmmaker Jeong Beom-sik will also present his upcoming project Eugenia at PPP 2008. JEONG impressed with his debut feature film "Epitaph", jointly directed with his brother Jeong Sik.

Choi Dong-hoon, director of the critical and commercial success "Tazza: the High Rollers" ("Tazza: The High Rollers"), will attend with "JEON WOO CHI : The Taoist Wizard", a film starring Gang Dong-won and Lim Soo-jung. Jo Eun-hee will showcase her project "Quary", and OH Seong-yoon's "Yipsaka Chicken Wild", has also been invited.

Korean-Chinese director Zhang Lu's Korean project "Father", Sabu's Korean-Japanese co-production "Arrested Memories", Korean-Japanese director Lee Sang-il's Japanese project "Leaving the Peninsula Behind", and the Korean-French co-production "A Brand New Life" (Ounie Lecomte) are among the thirty selected projects from seventeen countries, out of 200 submissions.

PPP is Asia's largestproject market where talented filmmakers can showcase their film projects, offering international opportunities for attaining investments, realising co-production deals and exposure. PPP 2008 will take place at the Paradise Hotel at Pusan's Haeundae beach area from October 3 until the 6th. Pusan will host PIFF 2008 on October 2-10
