Lee Jae-wook, Jo Bo-ah to Star in Netflix "Hong Rang"

Actors Lee Jae-wook and Jo Bo-ah have been confirmed to star in Netflix's new original series "Hong Rang".

Netflix said on the 20th, "We are starting to produce the mystery melodrama "Hong Rang"", and added, "We have cast Lee Jae-wook, Jo Bo-ah, Jung Ga-ram, Uhm Ji-won, Park Byung-eun, and Kim Jae-wook".

"Hong Rang" is a melodramatic historical drama about a son of the Joseon Dynasty's grandfather, Hong-rang, who went missing and returned with a secret, falling in love with his half-sister, Jae-i, and is based on Jang Da-hye's novel "Hong Rang".

In this work, Lee Jae-wook plays Hong-rang, who went missing at the age of 8 and returns as a 20-year-old young man, while Jo Bo-ah plays Jae-i, who anxiously seeks her missing half-brother Hong-rang.

Expectations are high on what kind of melodrama these two will portray as Hong-rang, a boy who returns as a young man with a secret after losing his memory before disappearance an Jae-yi who suspects that he is fake, but gradually falls in love with him.

In addition, actor Jung Ga-ram will play the role of Moo-jin, who replaces the missing Hong-rang as an adopted son, actress Uhm Ji-won will play the role of the hostess of the Sangdan, and actor Park Byung-eun will play the role of Sim Yeol-gook, the head. Actor Kim Jae-wook will play the role of the king's brother, Prince Hanpyeong, in the drama.
