Actress Lee Ji-ah (33) met Seo Taiji for the first time at the age of 15 and had built on love with the Pacific between them.
According to the management on the 21st, Lee Ji-ah left for the States in 1993 and met Seo Taiji through a friend at a Korean Music event in LA.
She then resided in America and Seo Taiji in Korea with his singing career. They continuously kept in contact eventually developed into a relationship.
Lee Ji-ah was 15 and Seo Taiji was 21 when they first met and started contacting each other.
Seo Taiji went over to the States after retiring in 1996 and they got closer.
Seo Taiji helped her with adjusting in the environment with language and others. In 1997 when she was 20 they had a marriage of their own and continued marriage life in Atlanta and Arizona.
4 years into the marriage Seo Taiji came back to Korea in June 2000 and was active again. Lee Ji-ah gets to shoot an ad for a phone company by coincidence.
Then she met the chairman of Key East and starts to be interested in entertainment. She cleaned up her life in the States in 2005 and came over to Korea, starring in the lead role for drama "The Legend".
Later, Lee Ji-ah files for divorce on her own in 2006. Reason for divorce is, "The special jobs and style of living we both have unlike others as well as differences in character". Lee Ji-ah signed a contract with Key East in 2007 and started focusing on her entertainment life.
"They couldn't help but hide the truth from everyone because he was so famous then. We apologize for not being able to tell anyone about the marriage and they are going through a rough enough time to deal alone with the divorce".
