Lee Joon-ki: 'My Fans Presented Oricon's Top Spot to Me'

Hallyu star Lee Joon-ki, who was discharged from the military last year, expressed his appreciation to 10,000 of his Japanese fans. Lee held the event called "High-Touch" (meaning high-five in Japanese language) four times at Osanbashi Hall of Yokohama Passenger Terminal on March 22 to commemorate the release of his new single entitled "Deucer" with around 10,000 audience members present. He said, "I have felt pressure as I took a break for two years, but I could gain energy from my fans' encouraging messages the entire time during my schedule in Japan and could successfully finish my schedules in Japan thanks to my fans' great love. And I am happy that I can meet all of you in person and say thank you while holding your hands on the very last day before I go back to Korea".

At the press conference before the event, Lee Joon-ki also talked about his fan meeting event "Coming Back", which was held in Nagoya, Tokyo and Osaka, saying, "I have been dreaming of rejoicing with my fans while I was serving in the military, and I was very happy during the fan meetings as I could finally make my dream come true". He mentioned his new single "Deucer", which ranked atop the Oricon daily chart on the day it was released on March 16. He said, "I wanted to present a better appearance to my fans, who have been waiting for me for two years while I was fulfilling my military obligation, and I have prepared this new single with my hopes of sharing this happy moment with my fans. I had never thought about ranking atop the Oricon chart as I am not a singer, and I feel a little embarrassed about the result. I will just consider it a gift that my fans presented to me and I will try even harder to repay my fans for their love".

In addition, he revealed his strong affection towards the drama "Arang and the Magistrate", in which he will appear as his comeback drama after his two-year break, saying, "I want to present my every passion and enthusiasm that I have not presented for the past two years through this drama".
