Actress Lee Min-jeong and actor Park Hee-soon refused offers from the SBS drama "Ward Number 3", which is due to be aired in March.
Lee Min-jeong revealed that she was currently looking through another drama offer that came in first and Park Hee-soon said, "The script is really good but other movie schedules might make it difficult for the drama to work".
Produced by Taewon Entertainment, famous for "IRIS" and "ATHENA", "Ward Number 3" is a new medical drama based on neurosurgery in a modern and oriental hospital. This is the first drama of its kind to deal with modern and oriental medicine.
Cha Seung-won has been mentioned for the role of Doo-hyeon, the modern medicine doctor and Park Hee-soon for the role of Seung-hyeon, the oriental medicine doctor and half brother to Doo-hyeon. Fans were excited, thinking he would be seen in another drama after 2007 KBS 2TV "Evasive Inquiry Agency" but that will not be happening.
SBS actually planned on sending out another medical drama based on nurses called, "Beautiful Life" but with the difficulties in casting female actresses such as Moon Geun-yeong, the release date has been postponed to the later half of the year.
