After taking the K-pop world by storm with his premier solo work Un-Touch-Able in 2003 and his most recent single If you in March 2005, M a.k.a. Lee Min Woo is back. This time the suave superstar from the fabulous male band Shinhwa presents his highly anticipated follow-up album 2nd Winds !
After writing such smashes as popular girl band Jewelry's "Superstar" and other Shinhwa member Shin Hye Sung + top J-pop band SMAP's Kusanagi Tsuyoshi passionate duet song "One Day", Min Woo this time teams up with producer Kim Do Hyun who also was in charge of his premier LP title track Just One Night , Jang Jun Ho , the composer of MC Mong's "180 degrees", and Kim Jong Kuk who worked on KCM's "Smile Again" to offer fans his latest blockbuster LP. The all-round talent personally penned, composed and arranged the title song Bump that's brimming with electrifying up-tempo dance beats. Another recommended gem among M's new hit tracks is Last First Kiss whose grand Hollywood style MV was shot in places located in the western part of the US including Death Valley and Grand Canyon. Last but least, his fans can also look forward to the song The Battle for which the star joined forces with the Korea's elite musicians to make the excitement of the popular game "Lineage II" come alive. Offering all this magic material plus more, M's 2nd Winds release promises to turn into another musical sensation!

2003년 11월 1집 음반에 이어 2005년 3월 싱글 음반까지 작사,작곡, 프로듀서로서 자신만의 음악적 역량을 보여준 이민우가 2005년 9월 두번째 앨범 ‘2nd Winds’를 발표, 본격적인 활동에 나선다.
이번 2집 음반에서는 1집보다 한층 강렬해진 리듬과 얼반 소울, 힙합 등 더 전문화된 장르로 M자신만의 음악스타일을 확고히 하였으며, 이민우가 직접 작사, 작곡한 3곡을 포함 총 12곡 중 절반 이상의 곡에 참여하고 음악뿐만 아니라 프로듀스와 안무 등 전반적인 작업에 모두 참여해 이번 음반에 대한 열의를 보여주고 있다.
타이틀 곡 ‘BUMP’은 이민우가 직접 작사,작곡,편곡한 곡으로 신화에서 벗어나 솔로 뮤지션 M으로 정상을 향해 달려가겠다는 자신의 의지를 담은 곡이다.
‘BUMP’는 빠른 비트의 파워풀한 댄스곡으로 이민우의 현란한 퍼포먼스를 연상케하며, 시종일관 멈추지 않는 기타리프가 인상적인 곡이다. 특히, 이 곡은 이민우가 영감을 받고 단 10분만에 완성했을 정도로 M의 음악적 색깔이 모두 집약된 M스타일의 곡이라고 할 수 있다.
M2집 음반에서는 1집부터 함께했던 프로듀서 김도현과 M1집 타이틀 곡 ‘Just One Night’을 작곡한 류형섭, MC몽의 ‘180도’를 작곡한 장준호, KCM의 ‘스마일 어게인’, 김종국 ‘제자리걸음’의 작곡가 조영수, 신혜성 1집 ‘거울’의 작곡가 안영민, 김태성 등 국내 최고의 작곡가들과 호흡을 맞춰 타이틀곡 선정에 어려움이 있을 정도로 완성도 높은 음악들로 채워져 있다. 또, 실력 있는 힙합 뮤지션 주석과 ‘에픽하이’의 타블로가 피쳐링에 참여해 멋진 랩을 선보이며 이번 음반에 힘을 실어줬다.

what can i say? Minwoo's hella-good! His charisma says it all! Well, I love him so much and I think this album is excellent! ^___^ ..just could hardly imagine how hot he'd be in the pictures! lolll.. i am so addicted to "last first kiss".. i dunno why.. feels like he's singing it for me. lmao; "girl friend".. is just awesome! so is the one with the participation of Tablo of Epik HIgh, entitled, "let me luv u".. sOoOo freakily hawt! all in all... Minwoo is the bomb! |

This by far is his best solo slbum. Untouchable cannot campare to this! All the songs r Hot, the beats r tight, the guest rappers can rap. I mean I listened to this album straight through, now if a CD can do that than it's really amazing. Minwoo did a great job on his 2nd album, better than Untouchable. I'm so proud of him with this CD. Its like the best korean release of 2005, I don't care it is. If u like Dance and R&B and Minwoo (By the way this comes with the best booklet full of Minwoo photos *Drools*) then u'll love IInd Winds. My favorite faves, r "Let me Love U", "Girlfriend", "Last First Kiss", "Fighter", "Sometimes", and "L.U.V". But you know all the songs r great too. I reccomend buying this!! Can't wait fo that 3rd album and with Shinhwa the 8th CD ^_^. |

absolutely STUNNING!

I can't believe there's another edition XD should have waited for this one instead of ordering the other lineage edition.... perhaps I'll just order this one too hahahaa! just for the extra stuff I didn't get for the lineage one =P Furthermore, WOW! If you love M, or have ever listened to any of his songs, not a fan, ETC, you've SO got to get this album! it's full of many upbeat songs as well as really deep and meaningful slow songs in which will altogether touch you from deep within =D M will definitely sooth you with his great vocal talents and powerful dance moves~ It really is a "must have" for the year! |
