LG launches handset with proprietary AP

LG Electronics launched on Friday its new smart phone LG G3 Screen, which has the company`s first proprietary developed application processor NUCLUN. The AP is a chip that serves as the brain of a smart phone. Until now, LG Electronics had produced its handsets using chips developed by Qualcomm, the worlds largest AP manufacturer. The LG G3 Screen is the first to contain an AP developed by LG Electronics. It is the third globally following Apple and Samsung to launch smart phones with its proprietary AP mounted.

The LG G3 screen with the NUCLUN has installed use a 5.9-inch full HD LCD display. It has the largest screen among smart phones that support LTE-A services. The LG G3 screen has been launched exclusively for LG U+. The design, camera and UX are the same as G3. It comes in two colors, black and white at a price of 803,000 won (759 U.S. dollars).
