The MVIBO.com website, established and founded by KBS America, is an online video streaming service offering North American viewers popular movies, dramas, music videos and clips.
"It's not only the dramas, but a larger variety of Korean entertainment, like movies and K-POP, where all these materials formulate into the success of Hallyu (the Korean Wave)", said Chunai Choi, CEO and president of KBS America, Inc. "We are continually developing ways to enhance entertainment and interaction by expanding 'Multi-cultural Video Broadcasting' to everyone of different backgrounds".
MVIBO.com incorporates KBWORLDi, previously offered by KBS America.
The website explains that MVIBO.com stands for Multi-cultural Video Broadcasting, and "offers a large selection of Korean dramas, movies, and entertainment shows", with its selection of premium programming "provided by leading Asian broadcasting and content companies, including KBS, MBC, SBS, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and other contents providers. We license all programs directly from the broadcast companies and provide online videos, all in high quality and with English subtitles. Our purpose of MVIBO is not only to provide drama video services, but to encourage fan interaction among its viewers and audiences".
