Directed by Phoenix and Love Letter PD Oh Kyung Hoon, 2006 MBC mini series My Sister (a.k.a. My Beloved Sister and Nuna) revolves around a young woman's courage and determination in the face of adversity. Song Yoon Ah (Hotelier) stars as the titular older sister who must carry the family when the world is pulled out from under her. Co-starring heartthrob Kim Sung Soo (Lawyers), My Sister is about approaching life's happy and dark moments with a light, sincere heart. Enjoyable and affecting, the drama inspires both laughter and tears with its story.
Coming from a wealthy family, art student Yoon Seung Ju (Song Yoon Ah) has always lived life with confidence and strong will. When her father suddenly disappears, she is suddenly thrown into the real world, facing debt and hardships for the first time in her life. Now the head of the household, she must lead the way for her younger brothers, must hold on to her pride even when there is nowhere to turn. During these difficult times, Gern Wu (Kim Sung Soo) comes back into her life. A university lecturer, Gern Wu let Seung Ju go in the past because of his humble family background, but now he wants a second chance to help - and love - Seung Ju again.

She faces poverty, something that is more scary and unfamiliar to her than sadness. But she proudly recovers her original place by believing in herself. Many people regard accumulation of riches as the ultimate value of life. However, we have now reached a point where we need to look back and reconsider our life goals. This drama series revolves around a twenty-something woman who is suddenly thrown into the cold world together with her immature brothers, after losing her father to a sudden accident. Within a very short period, she experiences the two extreme facets of life. Coming face-to-face with poverty, something that is more scary and unfamiliar than sadness, she also has to withstand psychological downfall, which is more difficult than her loss of wealth. Fortunately, there is a man standing next to her, quietly supporting her. She overcomes her crisis thanks to this simple, warm-hearted man and his family, finally recovering her original place through her own strength and means. Through this young woman and stories about people around her, this drama series intends to ponder about the true and worthy values that we need to pursue to make our lives more meaningful.
