AGB Nielsen Media Research says 'You Are My Destiny', a popular drama series on KBS 1TV posted a viewer rating of 31.6% on August 5. It is the first time for the drama series to post a viewer rating of over 30% since it began airing on May 5.
Daily drama series on KBS have always been consistently popular among viewers. Although a 20% viewer rating is considered quite high, it doesn't necessarily scream "success". 'Likeable or Not', a drama which preceded 'You Are My Destiny' was a phenomenal success, posting a viewer rating of over 40%. The huge success of 'Likeable or Not' had been a burden on 'You Are My Destiny' right from the start.
From the beginning, the performance of young actress in the drama series had been the subject of heated debate. Actress Yoon Eun-hye will hold her first fan meeting in Japan next month.
The title of the fan meeting, to be held at the Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo on September 19, is "Birthday". Yoon plans to thank her Japanese fans who visited Korea every year to celebrate her birthday with her.
The former singer, who made her acting debut through the popular drama series "Gung", or "Princess Hours", stole the hearts of her Japanese fans once again through her role in "'Coffee Prince".

"Gosireh" is a traditional Korean restaurant in Japan made famous for its interior design, fresh organic ingredients and menu personally picked by actor Bae Yong-joon. The celebrated restaurant marks its second anniversary this year, and will hold a special event to mark the occasion.
From August 2 to 27, Gosireh will feature a special "summer feast". During this period, the restaurant will randomly pick three couples and take them on the same tour that Bae went on when he visited Japan to promote his popular drama series "Taewangsasingi".
The selected customers will ride in the same car that Bae Yong-joon used during his visit to Japan in June.

Kong Soo-chang's follow-up to "R-Point" is a disappointment
There are hundreds of guide posts (GPs) along the length of the North-South Korean border. South and North Korean troops stationed at them are at a constant state of alert, with heavy artillery pointed at one another. These installations, a cross between a military depot and an underground bunker, are almost self-contained worlds.
One of them, GP 506, has stopped sending messages to headquarters. An experienced MP investigator Sergeant Noh (Cheon Ho-jin, "A Dirty Carnival") and a cynical medical officer (Lee Jeong-heon, "Humming", "Silmido") are sent to find out what happened. They find the troops literally drawn and quartered: the video evidence indicates the murders were committed by Private Kang (Lee Yeong-hoon, "No Regret"), a resident clown and the least likely candidate for going postal.
