Simply hilarious!

korean comedy you must watch

first i thought it was going to be another stupid korean movie with no plot but it was actually good... its a cute film! also 'lee bum soo' did a pretty good job playing a role as a over grown 12 year old. (step-brother of lee jung jae) and last, the girl that works in the room salon in this movie is so HOT~! (she was a member in a dance group "MUE" in the mid90's) anyways if you like comedy type of movies you should try watching this one... |

Lovable and moving story!!!

This movie was a great tearjerking heart-breaker. When a hardy, troublesome young man is confronted with financial problems with the wrong people and a toppling debt by his recently dead father, he consults his problem through getting his unacquainted step-brother, with a rare aging disorder. (he's 12, but looks middle-aged) The comically paired up duo work fluidly and make you laugh within all parts of the movie. The movie develops well with characters that shine personality throughout the film; An awesome happy, but very sad movie nonetheless. I loved it so much! I recommend this to anyone, period. |

Rainman?

Only after someone pointed it out to me halfway through the movie did I notice the similarities between this movie the American "Rainman". On the surface it does seem that the movies are similar but of course, this one comes with its own 'kimchi' flavor. The plot is very simple: A man is in debt, he doesn't have the money to pay the debt, he finds his long lost younger half brother whose mother can pay off the debt, mother is never found, and so the two of them do what they can to pay off the debt. Unlike most Korean 'dramadies' this one takes a while before it gets good. So just because the introduction may seem a bit long and a bit slow, endure and you will reap the benefits. I'm sure it's also no coincidence that the movie picks up as soon as actor Lee Bum Soo is introduced to the audience. This is yet another movie I wholly and thoroughly enjoyed and while it may not be for everyone, it's certainly will be enjoyed by most. I highly recommend this movie, it's not one you'd regret spending money on. |
